Hi all,

I live in Tokyo, Japan, and I work in a supercar car share and rental company. The beauty GT86 in the photo below is actually one of the official company rent-a-cars.

I have been using it a lot for the last two years and have absolutely fallen in love with it, and I am planning on purchasing this particular one from the company before the end of 2021. In the meantime, I am pretty much its caretaker.

The car is in two minds at the moment, being a rent-a-car, but the original company founder had intended to make it an entry level track car, so it has a lot of sweet goodies in it, some being:

Greddy Oil Cooler kit
HKS Hipermax IV GT suspension kit
HKS Ehxaust System (not sure which one, but I believe Legamax Premium)
18" Enkei RPF1's
Bride ZETA III seat
Nardi Steering Wheel

Once I do purchase it, the main mission will be to do a 1JZ engine swap. There is currently only one here in Japan that's been done successfully and successfully been registered for road usage.

I'm sure I will have lots of questions for this forum!

Intro

Can't wait for this car to go production. 2011 seems way too long away! But hopefully we can all pass that time together by sharing info and discussions until it's finally on the streets.

Not my first post, but finally an GT86 owner

So yeah, not technically my first post and I've lurked for a while. Many thanks to the community for helping cement my decision to buy this car! Picked her up last night. Will be taking her back in a few days to get TRD wheels, exhaust, sway bars and springs installed. Plus a nice clear coat to protect that pretty blue!

Now I've got to name her, of course. Traditionally the sports cars I've owned (mostly muscle cars) I've named Nellie (yeah, mostly Mustangs). But that doesn't seem to fit her.

Okay, trying this again with two pictures. For a name, I'm thinking something Japanese (to celebrate her heritage) that highlights the vehicles handling abilities. The Japanese word for cornering is Kōnaringu, corner is Kōna so I'm thinking the latter works

Hello everyone, I'm from SoCal and owner of a 2015 BRZ. I've had the car since day one and daily driven it all this time. It is completely stock but plan to give it some upgrades now.

I've been lurking for a while (and I've had my car for two years), but might as well throw a post in here.

Howdy! I'm Steve, and I've got a mostly-stock '14 FR-S in Argento that's just beginning its mod journey. If you see my Initial D license plate around upstate New York, come say hi!

So far it's just got a radio, but in the coming days it's getting some quality-of-life/HPDE prep upgrades:
-Perrin Engine Mount
-Perrin Trans Mount
-Perrin Shift Bushing
-Whiteline Trans Bushing
-ACT Clutch
-Synchrotech Carbon Synchros
-OEM Spark Plugs (for the 60k service interval)
-Verus Clutch Fork
-Verus Clutch Pivot

Next up is brake pads, fluids, and every other non-coolant liquid I can find and replace between those bumpers. Overkill? Maybe. Better safe than sorry? Absolutely

Not "new" but back again after being gone for about 5 years

Hi everyone, I am back after purchasing a 2017 VW Alltrack and trading in my 2013 BRZ in the process. I have loved the Alltrack for what it is, and can do, but beginning to miss that unique BRZ fun/feeling, especially with the 2022 pre-announcements. So, I thought I would rejoin to see what is happening and catch up with Tcoat and some of the other long timers. PS...I have been driving for 55 years as of this June,.. so, yeah real old guy here... on my 50th car currently... new 2022 BRZ will be number 51! Anyway... glad to be back.

Hello all, I just traded in my BMW for one of the remaining 2020 Toyota 86s.

I can't wait to get some break-in miles on the car and to take it out to High Plains Raceway for some track fun!

Just a quick hello

Purchased the Toyota 86 in May of 2020.

Previously owned a 2007 Yaris Sedan, tastefully modified

Hey guys, so im looking to install a wide body kit on my frs, but i dont know whether to get the Rallybacker kit or the Rocketbunny kit. Or, just mix and match the two, if some one could get back to me about it that would be amazing thanks
