Interior Door Trim Deep Scratch Solution?
I have one deep gouge and 2 light scratches on the interior door trim of the driver side. I know there may be options of heat gunning the area and hiding the heat marks with shine dressing, but I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions regarding filling the gouge and scratches and possibly painting / coloring over it with paint or a dye marker?

heat is going to be the best option for those. but then, you're going to scratch it more there getting in and out, so i would just suggest to leave them

Heat might help, but you will never be able to fix it 100% IMO. Realistically to get it fixed you need heat + some sort of "mold" to match the texture.
Be VERY careful if you try to fix it yourself, as it is extremely easy to overheat and melt the plastic and cause more of a mess than you started with. I have several similar scratches on both driver and passenger doors that I have just learned to live with. |

Realistically how often do you actually look at that part of the door?

You're right though. I'm going to just buy a black dye and have it stain the scratches so it doesn't show up as much. F*cking previous owners haha. |
