Oh and it seems to have a stock tune. At least that is what I can tell through techstream. I would reflash it myself but I don't have the mongoose cable. Just one of the amazon mini vci's. ZA1J700C is what it says it has. I have tried to reflash with the cable I have and it says it failed to read calibration. Could it be locked by a tuner?

When replacing the engine we put a thin layer of antiseize between the engine and transmission. Would that cause a grounding issue? May have to end up showing or telling the dealer how to force ecu into programming mode.

You will. Need a tactrix cable to flash tunes to ECU.

You cannot do it with vci cable and the pirate techstream

No that's a bit of a myth

I've swapped lots of ECU between cars, reflashed no issues with cams, it's a learner setting. But very occasionally a ECU has a actual hardware problem

Does techstream show and error codes from any module in car is engine, transmission , vsc stability abs, dash cluster ?

There should be a grounding strap that connects them on the top.
