I dont think K-Mag is an exceptional driver, but I'm starting to like his blunt style.

First his comment on the halo, and then not taking sh.t from Hulk during the interview.

After seeing Hulk-Grosjean incident from K-Mag onboard cam, I might have been fine with what he did on track if I was a team boss.

idk it seemed pretty straightforward to me, without team orders I have no doubt Valtteri could have fended off Hamilton for most, if not the entire race, potentially putting both cars at risk by battling and slipping into Verstappen's reach, he let him by with 23 laps to go and in the process gave up >4s, Hamilton wasn't catching him fast enough to pull off the pass for another 5+ laps I think. Looking at the website below Bottas was actually putting in quicker times than Hamilton after he let him by (maybe he was getting a tow? idk I didn't watch it live) until the last 15 laps they both started hitting traffic I suppose.

It'd be one thing if Hamilton shot off into the distance and was actually able to get to Raikkonen's tailpipe, but he was only marginally quicker than Bottas in fresh air.

Don't be so sad Kimi, even if you hadn't made that mistake in qualifying Ferrari still wouldn't have let you win the race anyway.

Never been a Hamilton fan, but amazing driving from him all weekend. Especially the defense against Vettel, where he actually *slowed down* to keep Vettel closer in order to limit the amount of slipstream he would get. Also considering that Seb had help from Kimi both in quali and the race, where as Lewis had to do it all himself with zero assistance from Bottas (who is still sadly pretty useless.... I was really hoping he would be more of a contender by this point of the season).

And yet he still whines about the safety car after the race. Amazing driver, but such a sore winner.

No week off, straight into Monza!

Personally I find this track slightly boring.

I actually got to go to Spa this year for the race, the track was as impressive as I'd imagined. The race itself turned out to be a pretty routine race in my opinion, I'm a Hamilton fan though so it's not like I was disappointed in the result.

Sucks for Verstappen that Red Bull is letting him down. I can't really see him sticking around after this season unless things change. Funny side note, there were an incredible number of Dutch fans supporting him at the race. Followed by a lot of disappointed looks when the car quit just in front of where I was for the race.

Wow, that's awesome that you got to experience SPA in person like that! They were showing a lot of great aerial shots on the TV boardcast, and I kept commenting to my wife about how many great seats I'm sure there were, and that it would be hard to decide on which corner to sit at.

Where would he go?

He could sit in a midfield team for a year or two hoping a spot opens at Ferrari or Merc, but I think that's a high risk option, few break out once they step down to midfield from a front runner, Alonso is the only one in the past 10 years to my knowledge.

(omg I've been watching F1 for 10 years now dam)

So that leaves replacing Alonso at Mclaren, which might be a bigger gamble than a midfield team... Especially if they do land at Renault as a customer which puts him back in exactly the same spot for reliability.

He'll ride RBR trying his best to impress until Ferrari or Merc or whoever gets a hot streak comes knocking or RBR kicks him to the curb and he fishes for a midfield. Which is exactly what Ricciardo will do. RBR is their best shot at not only impressing a more stable team but also at winning a championship at all.
