I also printed this Totoro. It took over 24hrs to print it. Took my daughter less than 24secs to break its horn? Ears?

Depends on witch key fob you have, someone have already made one. Search around. I’m 99.9% somewhere in the forum.

Did you draw that in tinkercad? Looking at your print setup, I'd invest in a glass print bed. They are cheap on amazon.

PLA is a bit brittle and not UV or chemical stable. It is biodegradable after all. It would be okay if you aren't hard on it. For someone like me, it would be a no go.

ABS would also be okay, but also not UV stable. Being a key fob probably not a big deal. It also reacts poorly with a lot of chemicals and solvents. Don't get any brake fluid on it. It will eat it.

I'd look at PETG for future projects. It prints better then ABS and is far more chemical stable and is UV stable. It is not as hard as ABS so it scratches easier but it is tougher overall. It's harder to glue though and you may have to buy glue specific for it if that is how you intend to hold the two halves together. It also will stick to the print bed if you are not careful with getting enough release agent down(IE glue stick).

Thanks for the info about glass print bed. I also did look into PETG, just atm I only have PLA & ABS. I’m not too worry about UV or chemicals, because, I’ll only use that key fob to quick trips (soccer game, milk run). When I make it for daily key fob, I’ll deb look into buying PETG filament
