2013 AUTO BRZ

Hello,

my BRZ wont shift with the shifter in manual mode. The paddle shifters work but not the shifter.

Anybody else have this issue? resolved?

thanks.

Pretty sure this is normal....manual mode means you have to shift, using the paddles....car won't shift for you.

I suspect he means bumping the shifter forward or back (+/-). I have no input; I drive a manual.

I would check to see if the pig tails for the shifter that connect to the wiring harness got disconnected sumhow from under the shifter .
Not sure if there is a fuse for the shifter that controls this but you can check Aswell .
The shift Nob does allow the car to be shifted when in manual mode Aswell as with the paddle shifters .......
Keep us updated . ╭(◕◕ ◉෴◉ ◕◕)╮

Hello, I don't quite understand your problem. This may be due to a faulty transmission lock release. Typically, to prevent accidental shifting without the driver present, modern automatic transmission vehicles lock the shift knob in the parking lot until the driver's foot brakes and the engine starts. In some cases, the shift lock may stick and not disengage properly. On almost all modern cars with automatic shifting, you will find a shift lock or unlock switch located somewhere near the shifter. Your car is 2013, this is off-topic, but I always avoid cars from this year, as I have had several and always had some problems with malfunctioning. In any case, you can conclude a contract with a company that provides a guarantee for repairs and maintenance. For example, I have a contract with Select Auto Protect, and for any malfunction or problem with the car, I turn to them.
