I wouldn’t be surprised to see RB shove a new ICE in their cars soon. Qatar has a huge front straight.

I would think they'd do it for the last 2 races as Saudi Arabia looks like it will favor the RBs.

As the announcement slipped out last week, now officially announced today.
Guanyu Zhou will become the first Chinese Formula One race driver next season
when he joins Alfa Romeo as Valtteri Bottas' teammate.

With the way Yuki has been treated by AT and RB I would think they'll probably place Yuki as a reserve driver and get Gio.

Gio will most likely go to WEC. He just hasn't been outstanding enough to get a drive solely on merit, doesn't bring enough cash, and there's the likes of Piastri and Pourchaire coming up.

Here we go, First Practice Friday! I don't remember the last time F1 was this close in terms of points and buildup.

The track seems that it could benefit either RB or MER vehicles. Lots of highspeed turns (RB Favorable) and one long straight (MER favorable). Not a lot of room to overtake or use DRS.

Ham complaining about power unit feeling sluggish in FP1. A ploy to justify a new ICE so they can crank it up to 12 every weekend? Or simply mind games with RBR?

If nothing else, Merc certainly are this year's champions of drama...

RB had a difficult Q day in Losail with PER placing only 11th, and MAX will be starting on the less favourable
dirty side of the grid , I wonder if he will be practicing his wide turn tomorrow if an opportunity arises since
they have been deemed legal .

Track looks good under that night lighting.

AlphaTauri & alpine were looking good as well all weekend.
And in typical Ferrari speak LEC said “honestly I don’t know what happened.”
.. he will now get a new chassis for race day …

Actually he will start on the clean side.... after receiving a 5-place penalty for ignoring yellow flags. Bottas received a 3-place penalty for the same thing, as apparently the FIA decided it was finally time to drop any sort of pretense and just hand both championships to Merc.

Kind of hard to say that the FIA is favoring Mercedes specially after;
1. Handing Hamilton a 5 place penalty.
2. Then a 10, on the same race.
3. Ignoring Mercedes request to review.
4. handing Bottas a 3 place grid penalty.
Lewis’s pace was unbelievable during qualifying and he’s not known for granting a race whenever starts from 1st.
