Like you, it's a little too low for my liking. But overall, I like it very much. This is actually a car I'd be interested in taking a look at.

LOL, 10 hp more than the previous generation? It's about what I expected from Honda since they're carrying over the powertrain but it's still humorous. Better than reducing power (Si, cough cough).

It may be *advertised* as lower, but the dynos show that it's a bit underrated from the factory.

If I was buying this, I wouldn’t care if it had 10 more hp or 30 more hp. I would care what they did to the engine. I would just want the best tuning potential. More displacement? Stronger internals? Different turbo? Different compression? If they lowered compression and increased the size of the turbo for 30 more peak hp, but less midrange, maybe that wouldn’t be ideal if I wanted response and didn’t need lower compression because I had plans for E85. I would be fine with zero hp improvements, but better tuning potential without having to crack open the motor.

I feel like any power bump will come from that mentality that "the new car has to have more power." Where they got burned with the Si, Subaru toasted with the WRX. ~300hp is the practical performance threshold for FF. With 265 tires.. ok it could probably handle a little more.

Seems like the only improvement it might have needed was to cooling. The big opening on the hood seems to imply they considered that.

I'm pretty sure they changed next to nothing of significance.

They don't really need to do much. The redesign is already enough for me, if I was in the market. It already is a good tuning platform. It would be nice if it had more potential out of the box, but I would care less if the car has 10-20 extra hp and does the Nurburgring 3-5 seconds faster, which is really all they need to say how it is faster than a Veyron or LFA or whatever other advertising nonsense that will sell cars.
