It was way over 3600 lb and was heavier than every early/mid 90s competitor (NSX, FD RX7, MkIV Supra, Corvette, 911) except for the 3000GT VR4 (which had AWD).
You're misremembering. Z32 TT was ~3600 lb.

The Z rides on a 96.5-inch wheelbase and measures 169.5 inches from nose to tail. It doesn't look it, but it's a hefty car, weighing 3570 poundsabout 200 pounds more than a Corvette.

Yeah, it was a porker, about same weight as the new one funnily enough.

Geez is this shiny matte/pastel shade of grey kind of the new "special" colour for this generation of cars?

Seeing alot more of it getting used in cars coming out lately.

Yeah it has become common but Im not a fan of it, reminds me of primer grey.

Instead of yet another shade of grey to add to white, silver, dark grey and black, Id like to see more actual colours including bright blues, oranges and greens, and maybe some deep purples or maroons.

Yeah I feel like 50% of the Dodge Chargers out there are this color. Ditto the 10th gen Civic Hatchback Sport.

Deep purples for sure. Merlin purple, lantana purple, something along those lines would be awesome!

The colors on the yellow and blue press cars look to be nods to original colors on the 240. The blue interior some have found atrocious was a rare offering on 115 blue 240Zs and is a little bit of a unicorn to find one today in good condition.
