Yes. I loved my Kartboy + Mtec springs + Perrin bushing + Raceseng knob, but that setup feels like shit compared to the CAE.

This kit does not use the shifter bushing?

I decided to update my thread using @Uplink's photos and and numbers since I won't be digging my seats out of storage any time soon just to weigh them. I'm re-uploading the photos here though, just to prevent potential broken links in the future. Thanks, Uplink!

Thanks! I just ordered the shifter for my build, glad that I didn't buy the bushing.

Another question - I think you removed the SRS airbag module in front of the shifter completely, is that correct? Did this disable any functionalities (I heard cruise control?)

Thanks!

Yes I did. I don't know, because I didn't have cruise control to begin with. But it didn't affect any bare basic functions, for sure. Race car still race cars.

FIRST WORLD PROBZ CHECKLIST:

Scratched up motorcycle helmet from surprise-dismounting your sport bike on the same track? Check.

OEM Lotus wheel, ramshamble-bolted onto your steering rack? Check.

Daisy chained zip ties barely holding your gauges in place? Check.

Same zip ties barely holding your dash interface buttons in place? Check.

Non-adjustable plastic seat; your only seat? Check.

Four wheeler battery only thing keeping you afloat? Check.

Audible witnesses in the distance unsure if race car or someone cutting grass aggressively? Check.

Frantically trailbraking so you don't plow into the grossly more powerful car in front of you that cost triple what your car cost? Priceless.

There are some things money can't buy. But for everything else, there's weight reduction.

You know, you should make custom dash to keep all those things in place... you might gain 0.5lbs, but you can always pee 0.5lbs before the race, right? lol

But sadly, that has a better power to weight ratio than our cars.
