They're made by Intec and I have no idea why they say "combattante" on the sides (sorry I haven't removed the protective plastic on them).

They're on the FTSpeed site which I know people have mixed feelings about but I've never had issues with them.

They're 150 for the gloss black plastic and 300 for the CF version. I ain't fancy with my BaysonR lip kit so... lol

Could be, the MPSS tires are super slick once they wear down a bit.

Pot is illegal in Idaho. The pot stores are right there as soon as you cross into Oregon. The pot stores on the Idaho border do 400% more business than all others in Oregon. Imagine that.

Drove my 86 home, didnt crash.
Did a little bit of admiring and tested a few things that I was curious about:
-The 2020 head unit is OK so far. Havent paired any bluetooth yet or tried apple carplay but that'll come. Perfectly adequate right now, might have had more bass in my iM with the pioneer head unit.
-That engine bay is nice looking in the flesh.
-Rear facing baby seat fits without issue (well ours does, a Babyjogger Citygo travel system) I can even fit in the front seat, even though its cramped and a bit upright, but i could do it. it also helps that im 5'-7" so not particularly tall. This car was made for my size lol.
Family hauler? Yes this car is perfectly capable of being one for shorter folks

Its a bit gloomy in the coming days so i cant take any good outdoor pics yet. Pavement Grey is really nice when its shiny (The car was a little dirty on the Saturday test drive so it didnt really "pop" then)

Take the beauty straight to a detailer shop to get front wrapped with PPF and ceramic coat!

And i wasnt going to entertain interest on that any further than the one message i made to them.

More observations:
-Ebrake handle seems to be in a good spot for an armrest, i can rest my arm on it if i need be I dont actually think i need the armrest addon anytime soon. Ive gotten a bit lazier with the Scion's ebrake over time but all the people i came across seems to yank the damn thing to activate it....i checked it and it seems like all you need is 3-4 clicks (when new) to get it to work.......I know over time it kind of gets looser and needs more clicks but it just seems unneccessary to do it right away on a brand new car.
-It is noisy on the inside, not unbearably so. I usually have the music drowning out any noise in the scion, but when i dont its obviously quieter. The 86 is ok, the lack of bass from the HU seem to make the road/tire noise a bit more prominent.
-Im not sure what i can put in that tiny cubby next to the push button start. "hiding" the USB stick seems to be the only thing i can actually fit in there lol.
-Mirrors are kind of small, shoulder checking to the right has a good amount of visibility, shoulder checking to the left seems a bit more limited.
-I thought the rear view camera in the mirror might be annoying but its actually not a big deal at all. The image is pretty sharp, even if the resolution is a bit on the lower side.

Yup, getting some hood protection applied tomorrow.
Most other detailing stuff ill deal with myself. i just need to get the proper tools

Plus then the wife's X1 (it was always hers. the Scion was mine but it was always a stopgap until I got the 86) will get some love too (i made a scratch on the rear bumper awhile back which I need to buff away)

More observations:
-VERY different clutch/shifter action than the iM. I think it might actually be somewhat easier to drive this car than the iM. The Scion's grab point is early but the pedal travel is very long, so you have like say 1 inch to get to the grab point, then like 6 inches of dead travel. The 86 is much more even, so like 1inch to the grab point and another 1inch to the end of the travel. Without the amount of play with the clutch i have to be a bit faster with my reactions and more accurate with my coordination.
-Gotta get used to the shifter lol. Short and tighter throws, vs long and sloppy throws. It was kind of easy to figure out which gear i was in in the scion due to how long each gate is, but slightly less obvious in the 86. Sometimes i would "forget" what gear I'm in though, so the 86's gear indicator ont he dash helps with that . Reverse is easier to get into in the 86. Could have just been the im's clutch being far more "broken in" than the 86. (55,000kms vs 150kms lol)
-Not a huge huge fan of the smaller steering wheel, but the leather is way better feeling than the so-called "leather" in the scion (it was adverised as leather wrapped in the iM...but its more like plastic with stitching). I do prefer a meaty steering wheel like in our X1 though (i think the pre-refresh twins were thicker too). Steering wheel buttons are actually kinda small.
-Obvious power difference. Low end is punchier. It feels much more effortless and stronger when accelerating in 2nd gear than the iM. Power builds pretty much the same way. I have not noticed the torque dip at all. I think i even got it to 4k RPM (wasnt really paying attention) and still didnt notice it. The one time i did punch it there was a noticeable kick at around the 5k rpm mark (still breaking in, so i dont want to push it yet....plus i want the front end protection first before taking it out for leasurely drives with occasional redlining)
-Tried putting a travel sized bottle of sanitizer in the cubby...did not fit lol.
-The ride is quite good. Its stiff but its not uncomfortably stiff or wallow soft at all.
-I have the 18"s so I believe they're equipped with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and not the slidy Michelin Primacy's. I bet it'll be softer with a different tires like what we did with the X1 (OEM Bridgestone Potenzas were noticeably harder/stiffer than the Continental DWS06 we swapped them out for)

Definitely add at least one 10" sub in the trunk for quality sounds from the back. Removing the Sound Generator in the engine bay definitely reduced the noise in the cabin. Very noticable when its not there haha. You can actually use the 12v plug in the glove box to fit in the passenger footwell hole. Just push that tubing out and youre good to go!

As or the cubby... it fits my iphone4 perfectly, so does the slot on the cup holders lol it can also be used for random business cards lol
