I think these cars sell better in warmer climates. Here in PA people aren't buying many of them. You can find just about any one you want right now.

It's worth pointing out, TME had no hand in development of the twins so it would not be his decision as to the future of this vehicle. That decision would be between TMC and the Chief Engineer for the twins, along with whatever business relationship Toyota continues with Subaru.

A lot of people commenting about the car being discontinued anytime soon clearly didn't read the article.

The rumors of a hybrid, turbo, sedan, convertible, etc. cars using the 86 platform probably not happening due to "poor" sales is what they article is referring to.

Toyota wants sports cars in their lineup, and now they have a good one, they aren't going to axe it anytime soon.

They have to KNOW that some sales are holding out on a spec'ed up version. This is a load. Sales were good last year...would be good to know allocation per region, average days on lots, things like that rather than just painting with such wide brush...go back to sleep...

Not to crazy about the IDx but you are correct, if the FRS/BRZ halted production, this would definitely effect not only Nissan but other similar makes as well. On a different note, it would liven the Nissan market if they continued with the revival of the S-Chassis.

toyota has been hinting at the death of the FJ for a couple years and you've definitely seen the price steady out.. not sure why but it is the #1 car for residual value.

got mine for $30k, it is 5 years old and has 65k miles... It's worth about $19k now.

wouldn't be surprised to see residual value go up if they do cancel the car in ~3 years
