TJ's Whiteout FR-S
I bought my car in March of 2015 and have spent a lot of time on this forum. I finally decided to make a profile and put together a progress thread here. My car is pretty basic, but I like to think less is more when executed correctly.
EDIT edited to add some Dragon pictures taken during my trip to the smokies. 12/6/2018 edited to add most recent photos of the car. 12/8/23 Exterior Mods BaysonR front lip- Removed Greddy GRacer front spoiler TRD side skirts BaysonR rear spats TRD aero fins OLM HID kit OLM running light kit White sidemarker LEDs TOM'S USDM tail lights HIC roof spoiler-SOLD Modbargains CFW spoiler SARD LSR Style wing - Removed Toyota Chrome badges in addition to complete debadge of factory stuff Drift Armor bash bar Engine/Drivetrain Mods HKS Turbo Kit Perrin Oil Cooler ID1050X Injectors Delicious Tuning FF kit Pro tune from Zach @ Counterspace Garage ISR Performance OP Invidia catless resonated FP Tanabe Concept G catback Exedy oem clutch and 12 lb. flywheel 2017+ 4.3 diff Whiteline trans mount insert Whiteline diff cradle inserts Interior Mods 86 plaque for center area lacking heated seat switches Moddiction wrinkle red shift knob TRD suede dash trim panel Wheels/Tires/Suspension/Misc Racecomp Engineering SS-1 Coilovers Perrin steering rack lockdowns Radium master cylinder brace Mach V Awesome 17x9 +42 Hankook V12 245/40/17 Konig Hypergram 17x9 +40- Removed Sumitomo HTR ZIII 245/40/17- Removed Cosmis XT-005R wheels 18x9 +25- Sold Kenda KR20 tires 235/40/18- Sold Last edited by MCTeeJ; 12-09-2023 at 12:05 AM. |

First "mods" lol. Berk Muffler delete and VHT red tail lights. Didn't look terrible until the Florida sun faded them quickly. In retrospect I should've cleared them.

January 2016:
Installed a CNT racing catless UEL header. Managed to destroy the overpipe to header gasket on install due to being a noob, and got a massive exhaust leak. Good times. Header has held up to this day, though. |

Manzo V2 catback acquired used off of another 86 in northern Florida. This exhaust was already discontinued at this point, and for good reason. It's a Greddy rep without any of the quality. The Y section rattled the subframe on takeoff and no combination of aftermarket hangers would fix it. Horrible drone. Sounded great on the outside though, lol.

Bought an OFT to match up to the catless header. I used it for about a year without any issue, then i started having problems on e85. Every time i broke traction on 1/4 tank of fuel i got a CEL for the fuel level sender, despite it functioning correctly. My fuel trims were wildly off as well. Eventually made the switch to a pro tune on Ecutek and never looked back.
To sum things up with this product, I think it's a great solution to a lot of people who are looking for cheap NA power. It didn't work out for me personally, but i know a lot of people are happy with it and therefore don't try to make my experience taint others. |

Valenti red lens tail lights installed. Was so excited to install these right out of the box.

Photoshoot with all of the new goodies, including a paint matched HIC roof spoiler that I didn't have an individual pic of.
Played with the camber a bit to make the front wheels play nice with the fenders. Went to -4 in the front with some SPC eccentric bolts. Tires are Federal SS595 in 225/40/18. |

This is one of my absolute favorite additions. Modbargains CFW spoiler matched to 37j. Had to wait a few months for this due to back order.

Delicious Tuning MK1 FF kit installed. Easy. Disconnect fuel pump fuse, attempt to start the car a few times, and disconnect. They even include the disconnect tool.
After this i was blessed by the ginger wizard of HRI tuning with a flex fuel tune. |
