I decided this year on Mighty Ducks for me. It's very tangentially Christmas time in the movie (there's a scene where they go to some kind of holiday ice sculpture festival thingy, which is usually a xmas-y thing to my knowledge). But because of that it's not really a Christmas movie. Has some decent timeless humor, and solid underdog style story.

Quick cars-y question for you guys. During normal driving I never feel this, but on a couple of "fun" drives in the past few months, one of them being today, when my Endless performance pads in the Brembo calipers really heat up and I'm braking fairly hard downhill, I get a shuddering sensation out of the brake pedal.

Is this a symptom of the rotors becoming warped? The last time I took the car into a shop for an oil change I mentioned it and asked how the brakes were doing and they just said "eh, next time you should be due to get new pads/rotors".

I don't remember this sensation before the Endless pads and much earlier in the life on the rotors (they're the same OEM ones I've had since March 2017).

It's from pad material getting stuck to the rotors. Re bed them.

I had this symptom on my Hyundai a few years back. It started getting worse and would vibrate any time on the brakes, then at highway speeds in general. I replaced the rotors and pads, and it got a bit better at first, then came back just as bad shortly after. Wound up replacing the caliper and that solved the problem. I think one was seizing a bit. Not that you have the same problem but just sharing.

Edit, lol, I forgot to quote spike

when was the last time you bled the brakes? it might not solve it but it is the single cheapest thing you can try. should be done every two years IIRC.

Ahhh, I'll have to plan some time and try that.

I was wondering about this too. I'm guessing it's been 3ish years? When I swapped the pads to Endless, I also had a shop install stainless lines my friend won at the Norcal86 Summer kickoff raffle. So that would've been done then. Probably due..

It’s not super difficult, it’s just a lot of process’s and sales decided we are going to charge 30/ea with the bushing. It’s a 1 3/16 ID eye but I only have 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 dies to work with. The only thing I have to work off of is an artist’s rendition of a napkin drawing missing a critical dimension. I get grumpy when I have to hammer so much.

You just need to get your mind right. Treat the need for hammering as a cathartic gift. Think of all the times you desperately NEEDED to beat the shit out of something/one but couldn’t.
