'15 WRX coilovers on FRS

My buddy has a set of Tein Flex Z (I'm pretty sure) coilovers that he had on his 2015 WRX.

Will they fit on my 13 FRS? Not the technical jargon on how they have different part numbers, but like has anyone actually tried this?

They look very similar to frs coils. I saw a post on this topic but it wasn't as specific. That forum said the rears are the same. Not sure if it came from a credible source or not.

Let me know! If no one knows I might just try it out. They're free so what the heck.

They might fit, but why would you want coilovers tuned for a completely different weight distribution, and for greater weight in general?

Well I figured the springs might be a little more stiff due to the heavier weight they are meant for. My biggest concern was the length of the coils. From what I notice I think the front sway bar bolts at a different location on the WRX v the BRZ. It's not that I want these coils, but it was something I just wanted to try out.

I have a set of Flex Z's that came off my BRZ sitting in a box. Post some measurements I can compare them.

I'll try it regardless. Not like its a hard job I just want some more of an explanation on why they won't fit. A simple "no" does not justify.

Great thank you. Might be a couple days until I am home to see them. Main dimensions I'm concerned about are the Top strut mount to Sway bar mount and Top strut mount to bottom mounting bolt.

As mentioned the swaybar mount is completely different on Impreza vs BRZ. The BRZ swaybar mounts to the strut...there will be no way to do that with the Impreza strut. So you would be running without a front swaybar which would suck.

More importantly is the lower mount clevis also may be different since the 2015 WRX has 5x114 hubs vs our 5x100. I don't know if they would fit but my guess is no. Not much of an easy way around that.

withease: then if you "will try regardless", remember to do proper alignment when you'll revert to current ones after trying out.

Thanks Andrew. Removing the sway bar is not what I am trying to do. They're not going to fit lol. I'll change my name. Hopefully covid kills me before yins do.
