The ftmt is a cancerous accretion on the bulkhead we keep knocking off, but it grows back even bigger within two months.

Dr. in the house?

easiest way to check the breaker when it's tripping like that is to disconnect the wires. without the wires connected, it should reset and stay on.
Working fine now. Still keeping it off till I inspect outlets.

So to test a breaker that keeps tripping, cut main power, and it should stay on..

You called it. Kitchen sink is against an outside wall. Circuit is the outlets on each side of the sink, and one outside. I didn't think they were allowed to do that in 1988? It has been raining this week. I think that's where I'll start. A more modern outdoor outlet cover for starters.

That was my last house in SJ, built in the 50's.

Nyaahhh. It started long before facebook. My fist recollection of was when some Rhode's Scholar evolved "impact" into a verb. The crown jewel is "liaise." It used to be that if you wanted to communicate somewhat surreptitiously you might do so through a liaison. Or, you might have a secret liaison with a paramour. Now, you just whip it out and liaise with yourself.

Now that I think more about it, liaise does sound like something that could transmit an STD.

Meh, while "fitment" does bother me as well, every generation does this to some extent, much to the chagrin of the prior generation. It's how language evolves.

Even something basic like computer didn't always mean what we think of as a computer. They were much more shapely back in the day....

They seem to have impacted on the language.

Well, technically aren't wheels and tires fitments? Probably accidentally using the term semi-correctly but even so...
