Cool, but I would rather just see the pure in car.

Probably doesn't actually exist because they didn't do it all in a single take. In-car footage doesn't have a whole lot of sponsorship opportunities so the outside footage was where the money went.

way too many different views for my taste.

it could've been a good movie with just a simple chase car...

Tries WAY too hard with all the drone footage. I only made it halfway through.

Car built to do exactly what it is doing

Let's see some footage of somebody doing it in the rain and traffic while driving a rental Corolla.

What @Tcoat said...

I've driven Dragon many times on two and four wheels, including in the FRS. The most dangerous thing about it is getting a ticket if you drive like the guy in this video, particularly crossing the yellow line.

Most of the deaths on the Dragon, and there are some every year, are bikes or trikes overdriving their abilities.

In actuality many of the roads around the Dragon have a worse fatality rate than the Dragon does. The Cherohala Skyway (a beautiful ride, much better than the Dragon in my opinion) is an example.

I was more afraid for my life on some of the back roads getting to the Dragon than the Dragon itself. Going over hill top at a 25 degree incline on a road just wide enough (between the trees right to the edge) to be called "two" lanes to be met with a stop sign just over the crest is not fun.

isnt the most dangerous road in the world somewhere in like Indonesia (i think im wayy off here in regards to location) where you drive up the side of a mountain to get to the top?

and the mountain road is in whatever natural condition its in (its basically a non human maintained gravel road, only maintained by nature), its wide enough pretty much for only one car (yet the locals barely squeeze two cars when they need to pass each other going opposite ways, including busses, jeeps and heavy duty trucks), and as you go up the mountain the cliff gets higher and there are no edge barriers, so as the cliff edge comes apart when you drive over it you risk falling to your death if you cant keep the weight balance of your vehicle in check.

Out of curiosity I looked up the most "dangerous" road. It really seems to come down to the definition because 4 different sites give 4 different lists.

It really is:
Just about any mountain road in Asia and much of Europe
Anything up North
Anything near water
Any road at all in India

Hell, the Tail of the Dragon just barely manages to hit the top ten in the USA

Fair enough point though Ken Block does manage to do a fair amount of in car on his videos that it is still enjoyable. His tracking shots are also a lot better and less jumpy.

Can confirm the lower half of the Taconic and the similar Saw Mill Parkway are pretty sketchy by themselves. Add city people into it and it's pretty scary. The Dragon, like everything else, is really only dangerous around complete idiots.

Love this comment:

Quote:
A recent study named I-4 the deadliest road in America, with 150 deaths between 2016–2019. In particular, the 132-mile stretch between Daytona Beach and Tampa had the most deadly crashes.
Given that this "stretch" is the entire length of I-4, not sure what he's trying to say.
