Smile 2017 Works Stage 2 Tuner Kit (GTX2867R)

Just got my car back a few days ago from Six Star Motorsports and could not be any happier with the results! Everything that was installed worked so well with all the other mods. The car feels great and pulls all the way to redline. The power delivery is almost instant and very smooth!

I'd say the price tag for the Works Turbo kit was most certainly worth it in the long run. As everything fit as it should and felt really nice and looked good while doing it. The kit is capable of making much more power, but I wanted something modest as I'm trying to get as many miles out of my BRZ as possible. The upgraded turbo spools real nicely and makes very lovely sounds as well. I wasn't thinking I'd hear much if anything, but it's got a very natural flutter and just enough blow off.

The car sounds much more mild yet a touch throatier. Almost achieving that iconic boxer rumble. Getting on it no longer sounds like a high pitch scream but more so distinct and low.

The car seems to be running the boost great! Temps are where they should be if not cooler due to the upgraded cooling components and oil stays well under 190 when moving air through the cooler. The cars been dying for the extra power. It almost feels more driveable, if that makes sense? Getting in and out of gears feels far more effortless and rev matching is far more predictable it seems.
Overall, it's a lot more engaging and rewarding to drive!

Did Graham tune the car?

I believe he did! He pushed 332/265 at 12.5 PSI on E85. Wanted to keep it modest on the power for longevity and reliability. The cars an absolute riot to drive on corn! I love it!

Thanks man! I asked them to tune it to have a natural torque curve and power delivery. I think they did just that!

i've been thinking about the works stage 2 carb kit for a couple of years now, and i know i should probably jump on it soon. i assume this was non-carb? i'm curious about long term reliability, as i'm coming up on 100k miles on my 13...

Hey guys. I just ordered the stage 1 kit. I’ve heard good things about Works and working with the owner has been a pleasant experience.

The only negative thing I’ve heard was from FT86Motorsports. But I’m not letting that deter me.

What are your experiences with the kit? I’m installing myself and excited to get into it.

I know the stage 2 kits is a bit more complicated but is there any tips you guys have that you could send my way while i prepare?

Let us know how it goes. I have talked with them as well and they seemed like a good shop. Covid came around and that altered my plans. Then the GR86 came out and really altered my plans.

I am always interested in what Stage 1s run down the 1/4 mile. If you do let me know!

Anyone know what intercooler will mount up to the stage 1 kit? I don’t really want to spend $1600 on the works intercooler add on.

Looks like a Perrin intake, right?
What header are you running and what front pipe/catback are you running as well?

Is it tuned on ECUtek?

Running the Tomei UEL headers, invidia front pipe and the works catback exhaust

Yes it is a Perrin CAI, and I did have it tuned via ECUtek
