I am just expecting my brz to idle better than or equal to my Honda fit. I don't think that's asking for much. Now I am actually developing a tweet noise during driving condition which it's becoming annoying.

I've noticed a "squeak" or chirp similar to when a fire alarm is low on batteries. I have sensitive ears from years of working as a sound technician, and it bothers me a little. Once you notice it, it's hard to ignore.

I'm positive it's related to the DI.

Not sure but it does get annoying when it does it very often. Also when the tweet happens it seems like there is a brief power hesitation. I could turn up my stereo but let's face it we bought this car to drive and listen to the engine not the stereo.

I hear it every 30 seconds give or take. I even hear it over the radio. I cope with it because I love the car, I just wish I didn't have to.

Is this what being married is like?

Anyone have an update on the idle issue when coming to a stop. This is my everyday car and I do a lot of street driving. I find it pretty annoying that my car shakes when I make a stop. its not doing it all the time but does it more times than not. definitely in the morning when I take my first drive and AC doesn't affect it. Using 93 octane and at 600 miles. Anyone notice improvement with more miles on the car? Most people just ignoring it? Most people not having the issue? I'm confused. I'm afraid to start investing in the car with this going on.

I haven't had idle dip in a long time. The last time I took my car in for chirping noise the regional tech said when the car was new the computer was learning the environment, fuel, driving habits so it should smooth out overtime.

It's still there. Maybe not as pronounced, but every red light I'm at, the dip happens.

It is very annoying.

I was parked on the side of the road yesterday with my FR-S (AT) running and the A/C was on (too hot to have it off). I was eating some popcorn and just relaxing for the moment. I must have been parked about 5 minutes and then all of a sudden the engine sputtered, idle dipped to about 350, the car shook and it felt like it almost stalled. The engine did recover right away, but after that the idling started going up to about 800-900rpm.

I'm sitting in my car right now. I was able to get my RPM's to drop by turning the AC on while the fan was already running. It dropped from about 800 down to 400 and back up again after a small shudder. I was able to get the car to do this 3 times in a row just by pressing the button.

I have no cel yet and no whine. Car was warm because I was just driving it.

My dealer warned me to only use 93 octane; it was nearly empty when I picked it up (employee purchase price doesn't come with full tank) did notice inconsistent idle shortly after purchase but not since getting gas at trusted source. Have had same issue with my Q45 which also runs on premium.
