Urghh, the thought of going through the process of RECON makes me have second thoughts about modding the suspension...Maybe I'll just stick to much simpler mods (non recon items) like the exhaust and little accessories.

These are a port installed option for our cars, there is no reason why you shouldn't pass any sort of state inspection.

An inch or less off stock 5" ride height is plenty manageable. If it really concerns you learn how to approach questionable areas from an angle.

My first car (long time ago) was a beat dodge daytona, that goddamn thing bone stock you could take out the oil pan on a speedbump if you didn't watch out.

This is an interesting topic with respect to height and drivability for the street. A real legitimate concern for us performance street car enthusiast. I would just like to say that the stock height as mentioned will be changed of course with the lowering springs assuming no change in tire height. For example the stock Michelins 215/45/17 is 24.7" while a common upgrade of a wider wheel with a Yokohoma Advan Neova AD08R 235/45/17 for example has a height of 25.2". This of course raises the cars height. I just simply wanted to state that tire height is something to consider also with respect to the overall lowering of the car..

We are at not quite a year with ours installed. My wife drives it daily and loves the way it drives.

I normally only get to play in it occasionally but it seems pretty great to me.

If you plan on tracking, or even autocrossing, I highly recommend avoiding lowering springs. Our CV joints are weak, and Toyota won't hesitate to drop a $5K bill on you if the joints bust and take the diff with them, like they did mine -__-

If you want to upgrade for the track, i suggest high quality coilovers and a modest drop. This will combat excessive axle angle.

IM pretty sure this has been answered already but is it true that these kill your stock shocks? Im looking into getting some of these because i just want a mils drop just to reduce the wheel gap and also i do not plan on doing autocross or any aggressive driving. This is just my Daily. Sorry for the repeated question.

Hope everyone had an awesome thanksgiving. I'm thinking about having Toyota install these soon and am curious what everyone else is paying for labour from a dealer. Also does anyone have any complaints from longer term use?

Hey Flesh Killa, I called up a dealership here in northern Cali and I got quoted for 490 just to install the springs providing my own parts and stuff. Didn't get the car from that dealership either, which they asked me. I ended up going with a local mechanic who lowered a friends car and ended up paying a hundred for the job. Springs are looking good to btw. Couldn't be any happier with these springs.

Save money and put them on yourself. Seriously, it's extremely easy. And Free! ....except the alignment. That costs.

Checked out some videos on YouTube. The install looks pretty straight forward. I'm just concerned about keeping the car under warranty as I've only had it for 3 months. I've already installed an axelback exhaust, lip kit, and nexus 7 inside.
