Let me know how these fit for you ! I just picked up a brand new pair of RAYS Gramlights 57xtreme in 18x9.5 +40 offset & they are wrapped in a set of 265/35/18 Federal RS-R tires. I have seen pictures of @Jive Turkey car running the same exact setup, but couldn't find solid details about weather or not I can expect these to rub hardcore or just the "rear bumper tab" as everyone has stated before, I have RS-R Moto spec coilovers waiting to be installed with these so spring perch clearance issues wouldn't be a problem. Literally just trying to determine what I need to do in order to mount these to the car.

I know the RS-RR run a little wide but you should have any clearance issues unless the car is stupid low. I'm on Apex'i coilovers and 18x9.5 +40 NT03+m wheels I am using a 5mm spacer to clear my brakes but don't have any clearance problems at the moment. The car is only lowered about an inch lower than stock.

Just got done putting 275/35r18 Federal RSRR on my CE28SL's 9.5 +40.

Still plenty of room height wise. Wouldn't go any wider on the rim then that though as people have mentioned the RSRR run about a size +. But fitment is great no issues with clearance. Had to raise the back a bit to avoid any rubing. Only other option would be a slight guard roll and lower it maybe 1cm to a decent height. But I am loving not having to stress about speed bumps as much will keep it around this I think for a while!.

Fronts are 255/35r18 same brand tyre. Had 255 on the rear before the 275s went on.

I need some help guys. I'm on a 18x9.5 +38 front and +40 rear with a 255/40/18 federa super steel 595. I'm on bc coils, spc toe arms and lca's. aligment set at -0.5 camber up front and -1.00 in the rear. I have about a finger gap all around on full hard damper setting. I for some reason am rubbing so bad up front on the top of the tire to the plastic liner that I've literally destroyed it on the driver side and soon to be the passenger. Dips and bumps it scrubs and at full lock rubs the inner frame. What am I doing wrong? Too big of a sidewall? Should I drop it down to a 255/35 up front or do I need more camber or something? I'm not rubbing the fender itself just the liner and inner frame.

Sounds like to much side wall. Or just adjust you ride height (free mod). Mine are 265 35 18 on 18x9.5 +35 up front and +40 out back no rubbing anywhere

Federals run meatier than other tire brands, speaking from experience (I was once forced into a set of federals and assumed they would be okay because they were the specs of the prev tires I had.. A couple of miles later and the coilovers ate an entire ring on the inside of the brand new set of federals). Those 255's run like 265's.. 265/40 is pretty huge with that suspension set up. I have 265/35 continentals and it runs pretty flush. Definitely sounds like too much sidewall. Good luck!

Wrong tire size. You are a full Inch+ taller than what is recommended. 255/40 are for 17's. You are on 18's...
245/35 or 255/35 are your choices.

Finally got around to mounting the rims and I must say I am extremely happy with the way everything came out ! Running 265/35/18 tires on a set of 18 x 9.5 +40 offset Rays Gramlight 57Xtreme with a drop of about 1.25" all around. This leaves me with about a finger space of gap between the fender and the wheel on all corners. Fitment is spot on & it's exactly what I was hoping they would look like ! They " poke " ever so slightly without spacers but in my opinion it perfectly completes the look I was trying to achieve. Dropped on RS-R sport I coilovers, I had to have the alignment guys use the offset toe bushings that came with my SPC LCA to get it back into a "spec". Alignment specs are as follows, anyone care to drop some words of wisdom Not entirely sure how good this actually is or not. it almost seems like it's pulling to the right, could that be from having toe on one side in the front and not the other?Other than that everything seems good.
Front camber - L= -1.8 & R= -1.8
Rear camber - L -1.1 & R= -1.4
Front toe- L=0.01 & R= 0.00 Total= 0.02
Rear toe- L=0.02 & R=0.01 Total= 0.03

Thanks! Feels great, just a little rubbing on the rear bumper tab. Going to see if I can get it on the track next season.
