Replace backseats with subs

So the backseats in my brz are pretty much useless and i want to replace them with 10" maybe 12" subs. I want it to remove the backseat, still be able to fold it down, and for it to look oem. Any suggustions?

lol @BlueSTaR

I followed the OP, but was hoping it had already been done. I would love to see this so I can potentially copy it :P

I think the best bet would be to remove just the bench and replace it with a shelf that has the subs countersunk. If you can get the fitment right and wrap it in alcantara it would look real clean, and maintain the folding back (also important for me).

Bonus points if you can install/uninstall without tools so the subs can be easily removed for events.

Found a few other threads discussing this.. lots of noise, but one guy is actually pursuing a solution.

This isn't a high priority for me so I'll probably just check back next summer and see what people have produced. Still not sure if I'll even bother with a sound system on this car..

I'm in the process of doing that myself, I've started fiberglassing already, just need to add some more layers to the fiberglass now, I'm putting a 12" sub there, which there is enough room as it's actually pretty deep below due to the bucket seats back there, I measured out around 1 cubic ft of space using the packing peanut method.

I am only putting a single sub in at the moment though, on the driver's side since I have used the passenger side rear seat a few times before.
