^^ No, rings not required, wheel is perfect fit for BR86 & should not rub on stock suspension, plenty clearance but . . . If you have neg camber of -1.5deg like I & you go for wider tyre (235/40) it will rub on stock suspension. If you have less neg camber, eg: -1 you may find it OK. Best way to overcome these issues is to replace suspension with coilovers.
