Camber Bolt Options?
I've been reading up on camber bolts for our cars, and it appears most are smaller with lower torque specs, which appears to have drawn some into question with slippage. I'm wondering if anyone has used, or considered using stock front upper bolts from other Subaru models, such as parts: 901660039 or 20540AA090? Both appear to be sized the same as aftermarket options, but appear to have a bigger shank allowing for torque up around 125 ft-lbs.
Would these work, or am I misreading specs? Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk |

No, the holes in the strut and upright are not cut for those to work.

For my education/better understanding here. Are these bolts too big for our holes? I can't easily find again, but thought I read about someone using similar Toyota oem bolts that appeared similar to me.
Also, is there a reason everyone seems to go with Whiteline camber bolts over SPC, if they have SPC marking, and are ~$10 more? Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk |

Maybe that's because ft86sf sells whiteline for upper, spc for lower, and many bought camberbolts there, and also keep suggesting those to others?
Theory #2: specific parts may fit several cars, but whiteline tested and started listing those bolts sourced from SPC as compatible with twins even before SPC? |

Probably because people associate SPC with being a cheap product and thing Whiteline is superior; all while not realizing the Whiteline are just rebranded SPC. Though many users will share that information when people are looking for camber bolts. And like church said once they use it they just recommend them to other people. |
