Maybe shitty batch of fuel (I had just filled up) but as I have said before I only use VPower which here in oz afaik isn't supposed to be blended with ethanol, although after catching my supplier out last night for overcharging to the tune of 2c/L more than what is the std VPower pricing I wouldn't put it beyond them !

It's early days, the weather was fairly cool & I will keep an ear out & see what happens.
The bastards must be putting ethanol in VPower as a cheap way to increase the octane rating.

Last year, mine pretty much went away when it got cold (cold for San Diego) and came back when the weather heated back up.

Now, it just seems louder in the cold-ish mornings. Sounds like a damn diesel all the time, though.

Please get the part number! We need to know if it's this green dot crap one that won't work, or it's a completely revised one.

It's not proven 100% but from the level of evidence, ethanol is the culprit.
It's a bad washer. It may be worse with ethanol, but it's not the culprit.

I've tried using only Shell, using Lucas upper cylinder lubricant in the gas, having the parts swapped once at the dealer, it's not going to be fixed until you get the revised pump.

FR-S owners. I dont know if this has been posted, if it has...SORRY! Just called my dealer to ask for an update and he said:
TSB S-SB-0023-12 has a new revision, revision two, dated October 17, 2013. The old fuel pump part number that was used to replace the high pressure fuel pump was SU 003-00328. This new revision to the FR-S chirp issue dated October 17 changes the pump part number to SU 003-05176. I am supposed to get a call back this afternoon telling me that it is ordered or that they have to drive the car for 10 minutes before they can order it.
In short, revision two to the TSB for chirping is out. Old pump part number was
SU 003-00328
New part number
SU 003-05176.
I sure hope this is legitimate information
