It only took 8 years for me to finally install a backup camera. I used a Kenwood CMOS-230 to go along with the Kenwood Excelon dmx906s that I put in a few years ago. The resulting picture quality looks as though petroleum jelly's been smeared all over the camera, but it gets the job done.

looks really clean. except the turn signals!

i would suggest something like this in the same opening to clean it up and get rid of the "round thing in a paralleogram hole" look.

Which turn signals are you referring to? In the headlight housing, in the bumper, or the rear taillights?

I'm honestly happy with how everything looks. The part that is not illuminated in the rear tail lights are actually the brake lights

edit - I realized you're talking about the ones in the bumper. For now I like how it looks. We'll see if I change it down the road.

Oil change and a quick checkup for today. Would have preferred to do it myself but I can't get access to my brother's lift for a while and it's due. Found a good shop using good oil at least.

The grille was separating from the bumper, I think from one too many conks on the pavement (Houston gutters are practically ditches), so I that got taken care of too. No additional charge either.

Brakes close, but not due yet! So those are roughly on schedule.

Some small shops let you bring in your own oil and filter and just charge labor.

Needed new windshield wipers so I went to Walmart and they were 30 bucks apiece! Thirty bucks? All I need is the rubber part. The rest is fine. In fact most of the wipers are original. So I ordered this from Amazon for 5 bucks. It's not exactly what I expected but I got it mounted and they work great. And I still have two extras. Let's see how long they last.

Wiper blades are single-use items. They should be replaced after each rainstorm.

This is why, when Costco has them on sale for $1, I buy a pallet full.

Go fast, take chances.

I had gone to Toyota to get the wiper refills and they said they were discontinued. ??? I had to get some from Amazon and they were too thin.

Wut? No! That's crazy! They're just wiper blades. ...and yes, the dealer ones are superior. I guess we'll be going to Subaru for them. :/
