Car stalled about a mile from my house then wouldn't start for a couple tries. Then this morning was struggling not to stall at idle and wouldn't take any throttle.

You could try cleaning the MAF sensor. This is almost the same exact symptoms I had and cleaning the MAF sensor with the specific MAF sensor cleaner spray fixed it.

Although it does seem awfully coincidental about the fuel and the timing of when the symptoms started.

I live in Canada where we get actual weather. My carpets have been wet many, many times. Guess what?
NO MOLD and I have not contacted my insurance company to claim it or taken any other moronic action.

So you pulled out your base carpeting and sent it in to a laboratory to examine, and they determined that there was exactly zero mold particles?

Seems like a lot of time and expense just to prove someone wrong on an internet forum.
