No it will not, it will downshift to first only below a certain speed i.e stopped. It will also let you bounce off the limiter till the engine blows as well as torque lug your engine till the connecting rods bend if your in a wrong gear....

Not sure where your going with all this hostility. He drives a porsche now so doesn't matter.

And I'll leave it at that, so that ichi's girl doesn't end up perma banning my ass.

@RichardsFRS is honestly a troll on this forum, he bashes on the AT as soon as the chance arises, go through his thread/post history. For someone that touts the manual so hard and doesn't accept other options he didn't know what fuel to put in his car ("93% octane") and didn't know how E85 works("E86"), also he has a history of erroneous threads. Also he went into a TSB thread about issues some of us were having with TCM logic and started trolling there for a short period before @Cole shut him down.

This thread was about FI for gods sake and he mentions that the dude with the cayman probably had an auto and goes on a tangent , if that's not trolling I don't know what is, this thread could use a bit of a clean up

Ya, 600-700HP is awesome...No thanks, I'll take this little car with it's measly 200HP any day.
So.... you can't handle the power and scoff at someone who broke loose on a 1-2 shift?

Doubt it was even rolling 600-700 hp....

Does it really matter if it was 4-5- or 600HP? The fucking thing took off like a rocket and he lost control of his car...
Fish tailing a little on a 1-2 shift isn't losing control but, cool!

You can shift it manually with the paddles outside of manual mode as well If its in sport mode and you are not in manual mode, it will downshift almost as if you are rev matching or heel and toeing in a manual.

I've always been a strong supporter of "Making up your own fucking mind and thinking for yourself". Usually you get more respect from others with that method too. I like to call it being an individual.

Fun how the OP made the thread, logged off 1/2 hour later and has never logged on again.
Something tells me he may have got the reactions he was after.
