If someone had their hands in my face like that in real life, it wouldn't take long before they'd get a good hard slap.

You have seen it before. It is the dude with the garage that makes yours look immaculate! Also the guy that stores all his fluids on a table outside in the sun. In Texas.

49 documents. Nothing dated that I can find, this is the only I can't recall seeing before.

Subaru dealers are checking and adjusting valve clearance, or should be. No idea about Toyota.

That exactly describes how I felt about my experience with my Subaru dealer/corporate about performing the recall on my car with aftermarket parts installed.

On the manual it does say check valve clearance and adjust if need to. BUT doubt any adjusting is done. The techs at my dealer just blames every tapping sound on the direct injection.

Picked up my car finally yesterday with the new engine installed. So far, other than a lot of vibration at idle which is smoothing out the more I drive it (tech said give it a week or two for the ECU to "learn"), it's running great. They overfilled the oil again, as usual... at least an inch above the "high" mark, higher than it was back when I was worried about myself doing it in another thread (or maybe this one) and drained a quart.. but I'm going to not worry about it this time.

They also filled it with "blue" coolant.. I couldnt' see it in the reservoir and thought they had neglected to top it off after the initial fill, so I went to top it off and started adding the Toyota/Scion/Lexus red stuff I keep on hand. Well, I added about a cup and blue started showing in the filler neck. Sigh. They had filled it with the blue stuff, and I couldn't see the line through the plastic even w/ a flashlight. I siphoned off about the same amount I had added, but it had mixed instantly. The red stuff I use is Zerex Asian formula. Somebody reassure me that mixing a cup of that with the blue stuff the dealership used isn't an issue. Also, somebody reassure me that the dealership didn't screw up, and that the blue coolant is the correct coolant. Searched, but there doesn't seem to be any definitive answer because most of the OAT and HOAT coolants can be pink OR blue, or yellow... I know to stay away from the orange "Dex-cool" stuff.

Probably should have started another coolant thread... nah... lol. Thanks in advance.

Document calls for "Super Coolant SOA635041", the internet says it's blue.

Mercedes coolant was yellow/clear, then blue, now blue or pink. We've been told not to mix them if possible but it doesn't really matter.
