in mine I changed the rpm scaling for the base timing idle. Rather than the table ending @ 1800 I just combined/ eliminated tge duplicate values and used the last 4 columns to put negative values in the higher rpm range
So theres nothing wrong with your tables, thats just what they looked like before I changed anything,
If you dont mind me asking how did you go about changing the scaling on the Base Timing Idle table? I have been researching everywhere and have not gotten a good answer. Do I have to change it in the XML definition file?

Nope, no xml editing needed
Click on a cell that holds the rpm values in the very top row of the table, and type in what you want it to be instead, hit enter (or in some cases manually click "set") and it will change the value. Thats what i mean by rescaling the axis

So stock has 550rpm to 750rpm all being the same value, I simply put 750 where 550 was in the first column, then since 800 & 1300 are the same, I put 1300rpm beside that, and just shifted the rest of the table over in the same way,
Getting rid of duplicate values gave me 4 columns to play with, so after moving everything over and having the 1800rpm column where 1300rpm used to be, I just filled in the rest of the table with what I wanted to see

I was hoping it would be that. Way easier than what I was attempting to do. Thanks man!

I am going to be playing with values at different rpm to get more aggressive pops the harder I'm driving. Also I'm attempting to get the gun shot loud ones on downshift only in an attempt to avoid too much police attention.

Aha if you figure out anything thats not already in here be sure to share it 👍
My biggest thing was wanting to reduce the delay in gun shots when downshifting, and I have some ideas but I havent been playing around with it much lately,

Thank you for your great effort. I'm running a Gruppe-S UEL + overpipe, and a front pipe with a high flow cat and a custom exhaust. It pops like crazy with these settings:

Video (check around 3:10 for the best popcorn):

However I'm after no pops, just burbles, did you find that sweet spot? After shooting this video I limited the Base Timing Idle to 50% (-2.42), but not that much has changed. I'll see what it will do with halving it again.

I think low positives work best for burbles, i used to ramp the negative values in more conservatively and still have +10 around 2500, +5 around 3500 and then start getting further toward negative.
Also playing with the enrichment at the same time could help, seems that less fuel ignites more aggresively, and more fuel can help keep it to a burble along with extending thr burble duration

Thanks for the reply, never thought about going in the positives, I'll do as you suggested. I'll keep you posted on the findings

Small update on this. First I've tried like @eddieflyinv suggested, mostly to find the sweet spot:
+10 @ 2500
+5 @ 3500
+2.5 @ 4500
0 @ 5500

This produces some nice burbles, but also still some harder pops if you really want to. Sweet spot seemed to be around 3-3.5k rpm, so around +6 I assumed, so:
Then I tried +6 constant, which was to loud in the low revs
Also tried +10 constant, which was very nice in the low revs, but didnt produce any sounds above 5k rpm, so it seems the sound differs with RPM also, even if keeping the timing constant. For now I'll settle with the +10 +5 +2.5 0 settings posted above, might try something like +10 +5 +5 +5 or so in the future, but don't think it will make that much of a difference.

can confirm positive digits produce nice burbles too. for me -15 doesnt produce anything, -10 gives crazy pops, im using +8 for 800-2500, +3 2500-4000 and -8 4000-7400. i guess its different for every exhaust setup though.

Just read through the full post, but having some trouble understanding how RomRaider works as I just got my OFT last week, and just installed RR over the weekend. I just flashed to Stage 2 E85 last week, but I want loud pops and flames here and there, what do you guys recommend for the best results? Barely learning here, so no bashing please haha

Someone pm'd me about not getting much pops with e85 before using these settings,
Not sure what the deal ended up being but my guess would be to use more initial enrichment when using e85 with the same ignition retard

I definitely recommend using the method eddieflyinv and I are using for pops. It allows for pops on overrun rather than having to slightly hold the throttle. The latter felt more gimmicky to me where as the overrun way feels more like what you see in big turbo supra videos

With the method you will get very loud gunshot pops and I'm assuming flames if you're catless.

Just an example of my current settings for overrun, not too much has changed from my previous experiment, mind you im just starting playing with it again

First 3 tables are located in Fueling - Overrun Folder
- Overrun Initial Enrichment @ 1.2
- Fuel Cut Threshold @ 6000
- Overrun Enrichment Activation Delta @ -15
Last 2 Tables found in Ignition Timing - Advance Folder
- Rescaled the Base Timing Idle (In Gear Above Speed Threshold) table, like I mentioned before, my preference was for this to only start occurring when the engine was almost warmed up
- Raised the value in Base Timing Idle Vehicle Speed Threshold table, this helped quite a bit to avoid low speed jerkiness (10km/h because canada)

As mentioned before, may have to play with the amount of Overrun Enrichment and the values used to retard timing in the Base Timing Idle table, previous tunes were Stage 1 with Stock headers and catless overpipe, and with the stage 2 tune and no cats I have reduced Initial Enrichment from 2.8-1.8 to 1.2
Things acheived
- Lots of explosive crackles at high rpm lift,
- Crackles between shifts (with slight delay, seems to be more time related than rpm related, so OL/CL transition delay settings may potentially alter that)
- downshift bangs, lately they seem to be singular (only had this tune up again since last night) but theyre loud, though they are not rpm limited anymore, (never used to get them above 3krpm before)
- feathering popping/crackle, find that spot and it will pop endlessly, often on tip in there is a slight initial crackle, and if you have your cruise on going down hill your car will sound like automatic gunfire the whole way down not sure if the tip in crackles can be gotten rid of, seems to be table switching delay so maybe messing with the OL/CL transition delays could reduce or eliminate that as well.

So, if I’m reading this properly, all I have to do is type in the same numbers as shown in the posted picture?
