'Particle accelerator' often just generates a 'huh?' More people know atom smasher. If that fails I say I'm Homer Simpson.

Does that mean you are an engineer? Or an operator?

Technically I'm an engineer. I am the laison between the operations group and the machine physicist group. I tune the accelerator for increased performance and create methods to increase operational efficiency.

Not that kind of liason. Ops run the day to day stuff but don't really get the deeper physics stuff. The physicist make things that are not operationally friendly. I bridge the knowledge gap.

I'm definitely not a people person.

I love rotaries the way I love the theory of a communist society. Sadly, they both seem to not translate well to reality.

I am sure most of you have seen this video, but it still cracks me up!

So I’ve been playing with this concept for a while throwing a 13B or 20B in a BRZ chassis and due to the rise of this platform it now seems achievable

The obvious thing that will be needed is custom engine mounts and possibly a oil pan to clear the subframe and the steering rack unless you decide to go dry sump.

In regards to the transmission, well this isn’t actually a issue anymore thanks to many people swapping the GM LS series engines and the Toyota 2JZ into the BRZ because companies like CX Racing have made crossmembers to suit the R154 and the T56 to the BRZ chassis and yes you can adapt both transmissions to either a 13B or a 20B the only things that will be needed is a clutch to suit and possibly a clutch master cylinder.

As for the engine management well AEM infinity support the Rotary engine as well as Haltech and MoTeC, if you want modernise the rotary companies like Platinum Racing Products make a R35 coil on plug conversion and there’s also a Hall effect trigger wheel kit by a different company

I hope this helps anyone thinking about the swap

If you follow through with this, please document all the things.
