Amen. I’ve bought 3 sets of Apex wheels for my BMWs over the past ~8 years, but not the BRZ. I obviously love their product, but I’d want a nicely offset ~8” wide wheel for this platform. I don’t want 245s on a BRZ.

And another thing, it seems that every manufacturer has a different idea of what color is "bronze". Anything from a pale gold to coffee color. Since most images on seller's websites are actually computer generated renderings, it takes work to figure out what the actual color is.

One of the local 86DC organizers has recently joined APEX Wheels, and have since been teasing us when we ask if APEX is planning to offer wheels for the 86DC Stock class. That class allows at most 8" wide wheels.

Stay tuned, I guess?

I also want APEX to make 17x8 wheels.

Anyway, it's too bad Enkei doesn't make the 16x7 RPF1 in bronze. Would be cool on a Hakone. I really liked my silver smol boi RPF1s as winters.

I’m running 235/40 SX2’s on my 17x9 Apex wheels. I feel like 235/40 is the ideal tire size for NA. Slightly wider than 225, slightly lighter than 245, shorter gearing than both, smallest sidewall. There is so much steering feel and sharp turn-in with a stiff sidewall tire stretched on a 17x9.

Only problem is tire selection is limited.

Needs bronze wheels though

OK, here's yet another post in the pictures thread with no pictures. I finally made a decision on wheels, and they aren't bronze. Hakone heresy? I jumped on a sale on TRD 17X7.5 matte gunmetal forged wheels from a local Toyota dealer that put the price at $286.87 each plus tax. Pick up in store means no shipping charge. I figure its a pretty good price for forged wheels, they're a couple of pounds lighter than the OEM wheels and they should fit 225/45 tires that I've yet to decide upon.

Unfortunately (and I didn't realize this) they've dropped the Evergreen color from the V-Series. You can get "Dark Emerald Frost" if you order a V Blackwing, but it's a new $4,000 option!

Not bad for OEM but there are better aftermarket choices.

Can you point to some sub-$300 fully forged wheels? I can't find any besides these.

Not all forging processing is the same. Just cause it says that does not mean it's better the other processing. I wonder who is making these wheels for Toyota

Toyota/TRD has used BBS as a supplier of forged wheels in other applications, so it's possible that's who supplies these particular wheels. I have no way to prove it, and this screen shot could just be of some Toyota dealer's parts and accessories department needing an image to go along with the text for their truck wheels.

BBS is one of the biggest OEM suppliers. But for being forged they are a bit heavy
