P0172 system to rich
P117B direct injector fuel performance
P1170 port injector fuel performance

now the computer in car just flag what they think is wrong when a limit is exceeded

its unlikely that both the port and direct fuel systems have a problem so its like
y that the ecu is being fed crap infomation from one or more sensors

Now fueling info is primarily done by two sensors the MAF and the Front O2 sensor.
The problem coulds be either of those sensors or it can be due to bad install or those sensors or air leaks at or near those sensors.

The maf sensor should have a gasket that sits between maf and intake this is easily lost or torn or creased.
Since your saying the car runs fine for first 40 km or so it might be because their is and air leak which is causing the sensor to read incorrectly and the ecu starts correcting for a perceived lean condition till it maxes out its compensation ( long term fuel trim at 40%) then its sets codes.
If its actually running super rich you shoulds smell it in exhaust fumes

Its likely its maf or intake related. It would be best to try a stock intake as you will probably pick one up cheap from someone in this forum or auto wrecker
Its also possible its the maf sensor itself

Its also possile its and exhaust leak near or before front 02 sensor .

Check maf installed correctly
check it plugged in correctly
check maf sensor gasket

clean maf again if it might have got oil from an oiled filter on it
check its not installed backwards if thats even possible

Check for exhaust leaks or cracked header, exhaust leaks cause 02 sensor to see "fresh air" which is oxygen rich, this make the sensor think you running lean, so it signals ecu to richen fueling, which then causes you to run super rich. But the sensor keeps seeing fresk air so its still measures lean.

This is where you need torque app or techstream so you can see sensor data and compare Commanded AFR with Measured AFR and see fuel trims and maf readings.

If all looks ok then your going to have to take a punt on the maf being stuffed, but i would replace intake with stock intake first as this is likey the problem.

Early injen intakes were notiously bad for bogging and idle issies hence the upgraded version.

Replace injen intake with stock intake

I would be very suprised if you could run one of those early injen intakes without a tune to adjust maf scaling. And also supprised if you could run catless header and not throgh cel p0420 without a tune.

They might have used a O2 spacer in the Rear 02 sensor.

Check they DO NOT HAVE A 02 Spacer in thge FRONT O2 sensor as this will cause issues your seeing

Since all this happened after dealer reflash i suspect car was tuned previously and dealer reflash wiped it.

Legendary message!! Thank you!!

I will check the maf for a gasket asap! Far as i know it has its own seat in the intake tube. Injen is sending me a new updated intake that is supposed to fix all my problems. They admit to the tube itself throwing those exact codes. So fingers crossed!!

Im looking tireslesly for a stock intake! I have ads on every forum. Facebook. Craigslist. Nobody is answering. Called 10-15 wreckers. Will
Be calling more tomorrow.

Clean my maf again!?!?! Last time i cleaned my maf a gang of monkeys threw poo at me. I was thinking the oiled k&n filter was what ruined the maf. Why else would the aftermarket intake systems be dry systems. Ill spray her down again today

My exhaust does have a pungent kinda rottten egg smell when i sit at lights sometimes after i get the revs up. I just assumed was because it had no cats? Something does sort of sound loose underthere now at cold
Start up. The header/exhaust has a bit of a rattle. I may just beparanoid though as i have already accepted that i spent my savings on a lemon and im going to end up selling the car for 5 grand. :p

How to check for header leak?? Smoke test?? Or butane torch? Run butane gas along header and see if idle changes?? Ill look for the o2 spacer/ maf gasket and report back!

Also it may have happend from the oiled filter. Dealer dod reflash. Was still sputtering. So with only 5 min of driving i decided to clean filter as it was black (supposed to be blue). Unplugged batt Sprayed maf and put on temporary k&n well old one dried. Drove aroud for 40 minutes was running great. Then cel and tcs came on for the first time. I have a feelijg it was the oil from the filter nt the reflash. Both prev owmer and shop that installed parts say nooooo tune. No ecu calibrations. They have no reason to lie about it!

So CEL coulda been oiled filter or reflash

Ok maf removed. Theres an o ring that still looks brand new. Is suctions into the intake tube nicely. Sprayed it a good 8 times.

There are no spacers in my o2 sensors. There is two right on the header when u look down from ontop. I can email photos? You say one SHOULD havea spacer? Or are you speaking o2 sensors furth down the line? Are there more on the frs or is it just the two upfront. I am catless aswell

if this is your header below it looks like its got an inbuilt spacer on the rear o2 sensor that probably the reason you not getting the P0420 code on the stock tune. So we can probably eliminate that.

As long as their is no spacer on FRONT 02 sensor all is good.

Usually if you have an exhaust leak in header/overpipe or near o2 sensors you will smell exhaust fumes under the bonnet with engine running, or see water dripping on cold start or stains or black soot at joins/cracks

If you look at the header flanges on the photo below you will see one side is clean and one side has black soot, that header was most likely leaking at that joint, that soot would usually be visible at the joint (externally) when header installed

The ticking in motor your talking about might be an exhaust leak, or it might be the fuel injectors.

you can use a long handled screwdriver as a stethoscope to track down the noise. shove one end on the area you want to listen to and the other end in your ear (its usually best to use the big plastic end for your ear :-)

Just also check the grey plug does to grey socket and blak plug to black socket on the 02 sensors where they plug in to car wiring

The GREY plug should be the Primary 02 (first o2 sensor in exhaust flow)

their are only 2 02 sensors

It most likely the injen intake or maf sensor issue.
