Notching the subframe even a 1/2 inch would probably buy you quite a bit of space for an oval tube. If it's welded back with bracing I imagine you are plenty safe.

I've seen a couple types like that, but same issue. Firewall occupies space where an intake needs to get air from.

Looking at how the s2k stuff is mounted, but looks like the timing covers are completely different between the two so would still have to fashion up my own bracketry. HKS has a side mounted one off on the exhaust side but need to look into it further.

you are probably right about notching, but that's a whole mess I'd rather not get into yet.

What about doing an electric AC setup instead of a belt fed one?

It's a possibility. Probably save SC planning for next winter. May not actually end up wanting more power as it sits anyway. Famous last words of course.

This is quite a brilliant use of what is already there. And what a massive update! Already subbed, but I loved rereading the whole thread.

Another thought on the SC. I assume all Rotrex units spin the same direction? I know if you barely turn a unit the wrong direction they explode in your hands. I'm sure at this point you have thought all that out and confirmed it's good in the A/c position?

As for your return fuel line, did you do anything fancy at the tank to convert? I may have missed that detail somewhere.

yeah you are right about the direction thing. You cannot rotate the pulley shaft CCW. The rotrex will be on the same plane as the crankshaft and will rotate CW. I get my kit today so I will know for sure if the rotrex is going to clear the kpower oil pan.

I haven't finished that part of the fueling yet mainly because I'm dreading dealing with gas fumes, but yeah I need to drill a hole in the top of the tank cap with a sealed bulk head connector and a tube running to the bottom of the tank for the return.

I got my Kpower swap kit in today! my garage is a damn mess and so is my life. Baby is constantly sick, work is really stressful, but hopefully I can get this thing together soon little by little.

All the parts are amazing quality, and a lot of it is hand made. I've never had a header this nice.

So much stuff. The powder coating on the mounts are amazing. The engine harness uses Raychem DR25. All the machining is beautiful. I under stand why it took them so long as they really put a lot of care an thought into each component.

Of course I had to get one thing put together tonight as I wanted to see if my supercharger bracket would fit.

Looks like its going to fit with some clearancing!

Some more progress from Sunday, I got the Supercharger mounted. Just to go back I'm taking the Jackson Racing Supercharger kit with a Rotrex c30 and adapting it to the k24 Kpower swap kit. I got a bracket from a British comapny called TRS that makes a DIY bracket for this specific purpose and I have seen some s2000's using this setup in Australia. I ended up having to shave some aluminum from the bottom of the bracket to clear the Kpower oil pan but it wasn't too much I don't believe it will affect the strength of the bracket. Everything is clear as far as inlet and outlet of the SC. I will need to get a different pulley as this one has too much offset.

I also managed to get the motor mated to the transmission and sat in the car last night alone. Everything went together easily.

Just kinda hammering away at it now...ordered some 1000cc injectors(now that I know for sure I'm going to need them), a shit ton of silicone hose and adapters for the intercooler, blowoff valve, and coolant lines....need to make a bracket to mount the expansion tank in front of the valve cover.
