So you are saying it's ILLEGAL to redline someones car? Redline...which means revving the motor to the manufacturers safely defined limit?
This is about principle not price.

Of course I am not saying redline is illegal. We both know the difference between driving with gusto and mistreating a vehicle. What is described here goes beyond sports driving. This feels like bait and we're not biting.

Quote from a tech at one of the local dealerships here in Utah: "I am not allowed to PDI the FRS yet, but they still let me gas them up, and I get them sideways every time."

No one is going to care about your car as much as you do.
As soon as you hand over the keys for anything all bets are off unless you are standing there. It's the nature of the industry.

Except for rare people like me. When I worked in the industry, I actually gave the customer cars back cleaner than they gave them to me, even though detailing was not my job. I also NEVER moved the seats, even if I was extremely uncomfortable for that 30 seconds driving it into the bay. I know how picky people can be about their seat adjustments.

This.

My car had a total of 2 miles AT MOST on it from the fuel pump repair. The same 1-2 mile test loop they always do. I'd imagine most of the testing here has to do with leaks, not noise which even on the original design didn't start right away.

There was certainly no need to redline a cold motor (which it has to be to do this repair per the TSB) for "testing" it.

I don't even worry about these type of issues with my dealer, but then the dealership employees own 4 of these cars, two of which belong to service guys.

This also..

The only changes ever on my car when I get it back from service is that the lights are switched from Auto to Off so they aren't lighting up the service area and the radio is turned off if I left it on. No marks ever, seat/mirrors are never moved (although Opie on here did bitch about how I have them adjusted ), etc.

Working at a dealership my course of action would be as follows.

Contact the Service Manager and ask him what needed to be done testing wise as far as checking the new part. Bring up the fact that you have a dash cam and you are unhappy with what you saw when the car was being tested and let him know you can show him the video. After he watches it ask him if this seems out of the ordinary and if he approves of how the tech was driving your vehicle.

If he says Yes nothing out of the ordinary then you can always contact Scion Corp if you are still unhappy.

If he says no that is not how he wants his techs to conduct themselves in a customer car then take it from there with the Service Manager.

^^ Good advice; find out what the post-installation proceeder should have been compared to what you saw.

Post the video already!

It seems like you are under reacting by the description. (fluids flushed, extended warranty, accessory options) Show us what really went on; let us all see it for ourselves, this is why you have the cam after all.

7 miles could be 3.5mi out and back. Seems like a reasonable amount of testing to me.

If something came back broken, like the Camaro with transmission problems, then yes it is major smackdown time. Otherwise, I don't think that is a reasonable comparison.

That's me, though. Seems like a lot of people here are afraid of redline and chirping tires for some reason, so it is what it is.
Just FYI, below has nothing to do with testing the fuel pump.

Next, the tech revs HARD in reverse, back out of the garage, turns and chirps MUCH louder, foot likely to the floor, towards and into a different garage bay. It was almost as if to show off - he probably didn't have to drive between the parking spot and the first garage before going to his service bay, and he certainly didn't have to drive the way he did - harder in 20 feet that we have in a thousand miles.

You were quoted on this so it should have showed up at the top of your screen under post quotes. If you're trolling, STAHP PLEES.

He is trolling away asking the same question, so if you see a bit above I told him the cameras was in UrAnus.. So when he asked again, I said it was in his car (See, UrAnus, your car )
