I havent shot a lot but I much preferred the Glock over the Sig when I was looking at getting my first pistol. Just was easier to shoot for me for some reason. couldn't really say way. Took each out 3-4 times before I purchased.

Neither were as good as the 1911 though haha

I didn't see CZ75 or SP-01 on the poll. You may want to go back and edit it.

Never heard of these. I'm down to the two I listed for my first firearm. I'll read about it though and compare it to the two.

Preference -- Glock 19 or Sig p320

I have had a glock 19 for over 12 years and have put 30k+rounds through it and still functions flawlessly. Have never had An issue with it and use to carry it daily for a few years.

Also consider Springfield. For me it was more comfortable to shoot and easier to instinctively acquire the target than a Glock was. The XD40 and XDM are very nice.

I've shot a G19 before and didn't really like it, but I don't really care for Glocks.

I do have a P250 (which some may argue is the exact same as the P320) and I love it. It took me a while to get used to the DOA trigger but after a few trips to the range it's grown on me.

The PX4 is also a great gun. That was my first and still my favorite.

The Ruger 1911 can be had for around 650 and is actually pretty good. But yeah not sure how the 1911 got in the convo lol.

Ew I think 1911 are ugly.
Sig was too big for my hands, ended up getting p2000.
Why ? 2reasons.
1. I love h&k
2. This is my fav gun in video game(cs)

I'm also open to other suggestions. I just looked at the 1911. It looks classic but not for me, especially with the price. $1k...

The aluminum frame Sigs are like jewelry-epic build quality. I've had several. Now I'm down to a bunch of weird collectible stuff and a few rimfire target pistols.

For striker-fired, polymer-framed pistols, I'm really impressed by the Steyr M9-A1 and the H&K VP9.

If you're going to have one pistol (or had to pick one to take to the ends of the earth), the G19 is it.
