I imagine a PP would come, and other options later perhaps, but if I like the car when I can test one, I'll likely buy it.

I suppose aftermarket will offer whatever is later offered as a package.

And, concerning "Brembo brakes"... Brembo makes various quality. I remember flying somewhere and all the 200 seats in the plane were Recaro. LOL, they didn't look like Porsche Recaro seats! Just because there's a brand stamped on something doesn't mean it's great. Brembo makes some great brakes, but I'm sure they make some shitty brakes. And in Europe, I doubt Brembo is even anything special. Us Americans just see a european name and think "oooooh la la". Meanwhile a '72 Camaro makes panties wet in Italy. :-)

Recaro made the seats in my dad's 1960 VW bug. They have made every stock seat in every Porsche ever made. In fact, they probably made every seat in every German car for over 50 years. planes too evidently. They make seats of every quality. Manufacturers make tons of stuff of every level.

How do you manage to swap pads without a spreader tool?

But w any rumor, take it as a grain of salt.
I have no doubt there will eventually be a PP with BBK factory option. The question is, when? If it's in a year, then I'll wait. If it's going to be 3-4 years later, then I'd not wait and buy now.

You can push the pistons back in with your fingers. Requires multiple pushes, one or two pistons at a time, switching sides, etc., until all the pistons are pushed in.

Odd. That wouldn't work on the calipers of my Cayman. Piston clamp tool is easy enough to use though.

Haven't removed pads yet on the C63 but it doesn't look that easy.

The Japanese 86/BRZ Cup cars use standard 2 pot. Granted they have some brake cooling ducts. Brembos aren’t really necessary for track days.

As mentioned, with yer hands/fingrs! Wiggle wiggle wiggle til pad can slide back a bit, then work the pad against the rotor to lever the pistons back into their bores. Do this one pad at a time, leaving the other pad in place or you might squish those pistons out further.

Yes it will, I used exactly the same method on my 987.2 Cayman Brembos.

And I have small/weak hands w/ scrawny fingers!

Lol

You have either never been on a track, or you're group D in HPDE

This. You can swap pads without tools (minus tools to get the wheel off, obviously)

Thin nose pliers can be handy though. That's the only extra tool I use.
