Spiders are too clever for their own good.
My cabin up in the mountains is free of everything from mice to gnats, thanks to my ancestors' carpentry skills.
Spiders, however, make their way in. I don't know how.
But they venture into the most inaccessible places such as my coffee pot, the stove, drawers, even between panes in double glazed windows.
There they spin their elaborate webs and wait for flies; patiently but in vain.
And there they die.
I don't particularly mind sweeping up their dry husks. It's not good Darwinism, that's all.

So I moved into a new house about two weeks ago. The first week I used the FiST to move stuff and then finally brought the BRZ home to sleep in the garage last weekend. The first night with the BRZ there I noticed a cricket in the basement. After giggling for about a minute I found the buggar and threw him out. The next night, two crickets. At this point I may just start naming them. One will be 8 and the other 6.

I know someone who named his cats Hachi and Roku.

So apparently having to endure 12 hours of work-related stress makes you sleep like a baby. Woke up feeling real good, and finally got 8 hours of non-interrupted sleep.. less than a handful of times I've gotten full 8 hours since switching to nights.

That's a good one, too. I had a friend in college with two dark tabbies named Guinness and Stout. Two of the most laid back cats I've ever met.

Steve, I have to ask ( not ragging on you) since you so frequently say you are stressed so badly from work. From what I understand you monitor systems and if there is a problem you contact sombody. Is this correct? If so what exactly is causing this frequent stress? You have only been full time employed for about a year and if stressing now promotion and higher paying jobs with more responsibility are going to destroy you. Like I said I am not ragging here but actually curious and quite frankly concerned a bit.
