Also it would help if you actually listed the rates and pertinent specs.
They're typically built to order based on customer desired spring rates and use case. Sometimes the adjuster is set up to offer real fine tuning for adapting to specific track elements instead of a broader sweep for spring rate changes. Given that they offer at least 6 configurations for this platform and will tailor a set to be bespoke to the end user not sure how useful or concise 'pertinent specs' can be.

Along with the four options there they also have single and double non-remotes set up for OE springs to be compatible with SCCA Street class autocross. Prices don't include springs or top hats iirc. I don't know if they do direct sales as I've heard they'll typically point you to a vendor to buy through.

You got a point there. If there is not one default setting, then I guess he's offering to share how his is set up for him?

maybe take a look at the mod you are trying to get to notice you and realize he hasn't been on the forum since September of 2018?

Are TRD or RCE yellows more closely matched with the 2017 86 springs?

I have not been able to find the exact spring rates on the 2017 springs. I know they were brought to a more neutral balance.

I’d like to know too. Supposedly the rear rate is softer than it was in the past .

I dont have a definitive answer, other than there was some material claiming

"15% higher front, 10% lower rear"
Which would make it essentially even, or about 3.1k front and 3.15k rear.
But dont forget the 1mm bigger rear swaybar that the 17s got.

It appears that nobody is maintaining this topic anymore (I.E. updating the info on the first page), but if anyone can update it with this info, great!

I inquired with ST Suspensions what the spring rates of the ST XA coilovers are, and they are 230 lbs./in. (4.1K) front and 285 lbs./in. (5.1K) rear. They will lower from 0.8 - 2.0" front and rear.

According to the documentation, the XTA's (with the front camber plates) are 6.1K front and 5.1K rear, and also drop from 0.8 - 2.0" front and rear.

NOTE: technically, KW and ST list their spring rates in N/mm. The XA's are 40 N/mm front and 50 N/mm rear, while the XTA's are 60 N/mm front and 50 N/mm rear. Weirdly, the XTA's front springs are 30mm shorter than the XA's if the documentation is correct. I can't understand why that would be...

EDIT: I also looked up the documentation for KW coilovers.

For the V1's and V3's, the springs for both are listed as 40 N/mm front and 50 N/mm rear (approx. 4.1K / 5.1K), which doesn't match what's on the first page of this topic for the V3's. Both will also lower 0.8-2.0" front and rear.

For the Clubsport 2-way and 3-ways, the springs for both are listed as 60 N/mm front and 70 N/mm rear (approx. 6.1K / 7.1K), again with lowering ranges of 0.8-2.0".

I wished it were maintained as well and that the data was shared as Google spreadsheets. Impossible to convert as is.
I have a 2022 BRZ and am looking for confirmation from more than one source that 99% of typical first gen coilovers fit the second gen cars. Did find this great thread!

Could you explain what you mean by "again with lowering ranges of 0.8-2.0"
Are these typical 7" free length 2-1/4" springs and the ".8-2.0" the adjustability range of the coilover body? They start out with a .8" drop?
Thanks!

Those are the specified lowering ranges from ST and KW - minimum 0.8" drop, maximum 2.0" drop.

The main spring length on all the mainstream, road-focused (I.E. non-Clubsport / XTA) KW and ST coilovers is 200mm (about 7.87").

KW Clubsports have 170mm (about 6.7") long main springs front and rear, and ST XTA's have 170mm long springs in front with 200mm long springs in the rear.

Inner diameter for the springs is listed as 61mm (around 2.4"). All the KW and ST coilovers have helper springs as well, which just serve to keep the main springs in place under full suspension droop.

One update of note - I spoke with KW regarding the idea of running their spring spacers to increase the maximum ride height for V1/V3 coilovers (and presumably ST coilovers as well) closer to stock ride height for winter driving.

They said that running the 15mm spring spacers would be OK, and there would still be sufficient droop/extension travel. Anything more than that, they wouldn't recommend (EDIT: their next size of spacer is 30mm FWIW, so it's quite a difference).

With the 15mm spacers, ride height would be within about 5mm of stock ride height at the highest setting, and still drop as much as 35mm below stock at the lowest setting.
