I ordered the sub and amp/DSP kit too. It did hurt to click submit on the order at $1700, but I know I love the car even more after it is installed.

Yep, I'm going to throw a touch of sound deadening on the inside of the doors and probably around the rear strut towers.

I have to say. I'm not particularly impressed with their communication as of late.

Apparently the sub/amps will be here. I know this NOT because they sent me a shipping confirmation with tracking number, but because I just an email from UPS.

Sub and everything looks good, what a mess of wires!

They sent me an unedited install video, I have to I didn't realize I was going to have to take that much of the dash apart to get the head unit out to attach the harness.

If the video is posted online do you mind posting the link? When they announced the sub availability I asked if they had a few pics of where the amp/processor components mount so I could get an idea of how easy it would be to remove parts for track/autox weekends and they never responded.

It's a bit long. I probably shouldn't be sharing it.

I just won a bass competition with the factory brz speaker system… my competitor was a 86 ranger running factory system (I don’t know what people are complaining about) I barely won by a small margin…

No problem. Still trying to decide if I want to tackle it myself or take it to a trusted shop. I worked off hours at a stereo shop in high school, we mainly did SPL and SQ competitions. So I can handle it all, it's pretty straightforward, but still just don't know if I want to mess with it.

I took it to a shop for the suspension/exhaust/wheel/alignment install in December. Dropping the car off and picking it a couple of days later with everything done and done well, is really nice.

Have you done the install yet? Curious where you put the Sub control, they told me they made it long enough to run with the harness up the driver side, across the dash, and put it in the glovebox.

Nah, I'm passing on the remaining parts of the kit. I need something that can be easily removed for when I need the trunk space for hauling tires/tools/etc for autox. Once I saw that the sub was bolted from inside the box that was it for me.

That said, I'd want it some place a bit more accessible than the glove box but it's hard to suggest a spot due to the car's general lack of cubbies and such.

The sub is pretty small.

Yeah, I wish there was still the cubby under the HVAC controls, that would be a perfect place.
