Wait.
Wait.
You mean those were not real apes?
Shit, my plans for world domination are ruined and I may as well send Mr. Blinky back to the zoo.

Yea, I finally gave up on my own plan which involved trapping turtles and dipping them in radioactive materials...it really just didn't have the result I wanted...

it did make some really weird tasting turtle soup though

Damnit, the turtle thing doesn't work either?
Well I guess I have to hang my hat on that kid down the street with the really high midichlorians then. Strange though he has no father and his mother swears he never did. Oh well, what could possibly go wrong with this plan?

You know there is only one real plan that would work...

Hated how Rey just knew how to use the force and the lightsaber. What the heck man? What about the training??? Too much girl power for me.

1) the flashback sequence clearly shows her in a young padawan outfit when she was lefted on Jakku
2) in the books that explain the vehicles from TFA, it is told that Rey's speeder was built out of salvaged T-65 X-Wing parts, and that she apparently can fly it well when out of prying eyes

She is much stronger in the Force than she realizes, hence the title of the movie. I think most of her skills were suppressed, but she showed early on in the movie that she's good with handling a melee weapon...

The melee combat thing is emphasized by Mr Loyalty in the pic I posted. Finn doesn't do much worse against Kylo Ren with his force powers and lightsaber than he did against a standard riot-control Stormtrooper. So how good is Ren, really? Rey's been fighting for her life for years, even ignoring any mysterious past Jedi training.

Once she gets training she'll wipe the floor with Ren. But she might end up being tempted by the Dark Side since she seems to fight more passionately...

Just watched it this passing weekend, reminds me how time really flys... since I watched 1,2,3 back in high school. O.o I think episode 7 is really good for what it is, but just too much of it resembles episode 4.

Aah, but you missed one detail.

Chewbacca's bowcaster is like an AOE weapon, it was clearly shown to throw stormtrooperS into the air when used by Han Solo earlier.

Kylo Ren took a shot of that to the gut.

The fight was essentially one of a severely injured Kylo Ren, vs 1) a former stormtrooper with basic knowledge of hand-to-hand combat, and 2) someone who is slowly (re)learning the ways of the Force and also keen with using melee weapons.

Still, pretty sure Mr Loyalty could kick Kylo Ren's ass on a regular basis, but has been told to let Ren win in training because the Order is tired of replacing equipment from Ren's lightsaber temper tantrums.
