Removing Android bloatware

I recently discovered how to delete "unremoveable" programs from Android phones. I've gone through the process and the programs no longer appear in my APK database.


The fact that Facebook still sends data even if you have it stopped meant it was the first to go.


I just hope I have removed the programs and not just hidden them.

Check your internal storage. If those apps have been truly removed, you must have more internal storage than before. Obviously, rediculous bloatware eats a huge amount of internal storage in vain without giving us any benefits. We pay for the internal storage that's been advertised while having less than actual. I was looking forward to a solution to remove bloatware without root access. Thanks for the information

Facebook monitors everything your voice calls, microphone......its basically spying on you 24/7.

I was talking to a work colleague about transformers, had my phone locked and Facebook not running.

Next time I launched Facebook an ad for ABB transformers comes up.

I don't have social media. I have an iPhone. This happens to me too. This seems to happen when I am talking about something, and I type two to three letters into a google search and the first suggestion is crazy on point. I swear the phone is listening.


I basically can't surprise my wife with any gifts because when I shop for something, all suggested ads are on the product. There has been many examples of women who knew their partner was going to propose.


I was looking at pictures that had reoccurring themes and those items in the pictures showed up in ads. Ex: Imagine searching for cars and just happen to get classic cars in the search and just happened to click on classic cars that had dice hanging from the rear view mirror then you get ads for car dice.

Perhaps this may happen as we give permissions to access our phone's photos, contacts, call, etc when installing the app on our device. I guess so. I use Facebook Lite on Android and I barely remember giving permission to Call and text history logging when installing the app. If you are also using Facebook Lite, the process may be applicable. Finally, That's right, always we have been tracked either Facebook or Google..whatever, we lose our privacy gradually

Good advice. Actually, I have been using multiple Samsung models for several years and fed up now. As a final step, I'm also going to root my device using the official Samsung Odin program to check if it could do some good..Otherwise, my next destination is going to be Xiaomi which I checked recently for good reviews and higher performance.

While it is known that FaceBook and Google track one's usage I have read of suggestions that Chinese phones might also have back doors to send info back to the mother country.

I have no idea if there is any bases for these stories but it wouldn't surprise me if they did have built in malware.

Those aren't available here easily, but I'm wary of things worse than bloatware. They're probably OK.



I'll probably end up in a mid-range Nokia if I can't sort out how to replace the battery in my LG (V30) when the time comes. I just don't need as much phone as places are shipping, but I do want a headphone jack. Though the improved dac/amp in the V30 will be missed, if I do give it up. Nokia, far as I understand, ships pure vanilla Android.
