Yeah but how many of us that have multiple vehicles have all of them running?

I am at 2 of 4 not counting motorcycles. I have two car trailers but only one is really usable.

Daily driving the car for the past 4 months (new to the platform) and enjoying a lot. Fun car, makes commute less boring. Next winter, buying winter tires to remove a little bit of the fun.

Wife’s car is family car, so no issues.

Cars that I did consider (hope it helps): BMW135 (forget reliability, or downgrade to 130), Camaro (V6 is enough fun), Infiniti Q50/60, GEN2 BRZ.

In CA, you don’t need AWD, so I would avoid the added weight of any of that category. Fwd have Focus ST, CTR, Veloster N.

Dual Climate AC
Andriod Auto
Fun to drive

Why do I want another car payment in this day in age when the next car I buy really should be an EV
I don't even have the fancy interior options!
Having no car payments is a big plus.
I mean.. these cars aren't comfortable in the sense that they float over the road. I get wanting something cushy and relaxing to cruise around in.

I would only want to add a second car and keep the 86 since there aren't many cars that provide the same feel.
The second car would be a polar opposite that rides like a couch and is automatic. The new Bronco is appealing to me. My father had one in the 90s which is probably why I'm drawn to them.

This car can be driven in a relaxing manor but it always goads me into chucking it into corners etc.

Still daily driving my '13. Haven't stopped yet. But, I did add a 2020 C8 Corvette as a weekend/canyon car.

Yes, it's my DD, to the tune of about 20K miles per year, and probably will be until it doesn't run any longer or something convinces me to replace it.

To answer @jflogerzi qustion if I was going to replace it with a 4 Door car that is track capable, it would be GEN3 CTS-V or better yet, a GEN2 CTS-V Wagon. I was actually thinking of a CT5-V Blackwing as my next car (what would become my Grandpa car) but a decent one is over $100,000 and the 2022 reservations are sold out. Problem is right now even early GEN3 are selling for basically new price so until the market corrects I'll still be driving the 86.

The thing is that really good performance sedans usually cost really good prices. Most of the cheaper ones are just dripping in compromises to keep them cheap.

The only car I'd replace a twin with stock for stock against anything else with price in mind is a CTR. When you're sliding a CTR at an HPDE you'll understand why, it quite literally breaks all preconceived notions of FWD, it will even break your mind.

If it had to be cheaper, a Si, but fairly modified in suspension area; Toronto track presence for civics is immense and you really see some serious driving in these things. They may not be popular on this forum, but the people that know, know.

Otherwise, go try and find an older IS300, but good luck... oh and maybe a Veloster N not sure about reliability on this one tho.

Yea CTR and Vel N's would be on my list. Adjustable dampers, valve exhaust, sits 4 ppl, and track ready in stock form. But at this point its mute. I come to realize I don't want another car payment. Next car will/should be an EV once the gov. unlocks additional federal tax $$$ for Tesla and Chevy.

Yea. I think the problem here is my idea of an acceptable 4-door and a lot of folks on here is different. No Subaru is an acceptable 4-door sedan. If I'm going to 4, it implies a lot more than a compact car with extra doors.

I suspect they are better than you think, and the compromises that are there are not ones that matter to me, but do make it a $100K car instead of $125K car, so YMMV. Not sure how many other 4 door, 5 seat luxury cars you can get with a v8 and a manual transmission though.
