Any stroker kits yet?

I wasn't able to find any thread talking about stroker kits for the FA20. A 2.2L or 2.5L would make it ideal for forced induction I guess. Will resolve all issues of underperformance once and for all.

What about heads? Any aftermarket heads?

woahh! lets get to some cams first lol.

I really dont think any of that will be available till mid next year, they still got to engineer, fab, test, and results for that. But I know pistons are available already

afaik AVO is working on a 2.5L short block/stroker (not sure which one) but some said it might be based on FB25 shortblock that is hacked/modded to work on FA20 heads

But then it won't have an 86mm bore and stroke, and therefore won't be a true "86" anymore, GLAYVIN!

Shh! It can be an 86 just like Ford's 302 got to be "5.0L."

(It was only 4,942 cc.)

I saw a Manley stroker crank mentioned in one of the magazines SEMA coverage but no specifics. I'll see if I can find it when I get home.

If more power is the goal--a stroker just won't be as cost-effective as one of the well-engineered turbo kits coming out these days, IMO. There'd need to be a big displacement bump, cams etc, to get anywhere near 280-300whp--not to mention how intensive the labor is.

My .02...

Agreed, not neccessary unless rebuilding the motor anyways.

Some people are just very pro all motor with these cars and no matter the cost want to keep it that way. It could work for all motor and also a 2.3 with a big turbo could be fun too ^^
