Having the right tires, the alignment to utilize the whole tire, and spring rates+dampers setup in the ballpark is like >half the speed (outside of driving chops) imho. Looks like Feal specs 6k-7k springs which is in the range of competitive setups I've seen.

i personally preferred 6k/6k but yes the rates seem good. Im not too confident on Feal/Fortune Auto, but thats what consumerism enforces eyh?

Honestly for the price the Feal setup is the best bang for your buck. If you want the best you need to spend more for one of those big dollar super engineered coilovers. I've been running Feal coilovers since 2014 IIRC and they seem to work really well.

I spent 2200 for my AST stuff. they arent the mega bucks MCS or Xida
I bet the feals are like that, one notch higher than the RSG teins and maybe equal to the Tarmac 2's

Having been on Megan's and another car on KW Clubsports 2 ways, I'll take a well valved monotube BorChuann xx-way damper over a twin tube KW if laying down a quick autox time is the priority.

The KWs turn down for a more comfy ride there and back but if you don't agree with kw on how much damping force you need you're shit outta luck because nobody revalves them.

There are more options out there for cheap revalved stuff. ProParts Megans are one, but RedShift Motorsports are another competent option. Both are valved by autocrossers who can provide the damping forces required.

I tend to stay away from normal OTS stuff because it's usually not good enough for me. I also tend to like shocks that have a large window of adjustment.

OTS stuff is made for the 99% of car owners who aren't autocrossing/tracking and tweaking setups, changing spring rates, sway bars, tires, etc.

Anyone have any ideas for making a Perrin gurney flap QD? I really want the look on my car day to day, but with my driving I already have a snowballs chance in local STX much less if I push myself to a higher class for a piece of aluminum.

Can you change the front bumper?

What spoilers are allowed/not allowed, is it just factory options?

Also any build threads on nationally competitive STX cars? Links please

No.
Just factory options. Discussed a few pages back in this thread.

I am hearing that the yokohamas like some rather high pressures. I was thinking about starting out around 33 square. Would anyone care to share what pressures have ended up working well for them?

The only way to get any aero in STX is to get a tS. Better starting point (price aside), maybe?
