That's it, Feit Electric. We're through. No matter how convenient and ubiquitous, you're just not worth the disappointment.

Who do you like for a nice dependable dimmer switch? Don't mind paying for it.

Spent forever trying to figure out where a vacuum line terminated coming off the TGV of an 02’ WRX. Apparently it vents to atmosphere but Subie puts a hose on it

I have a hard time watching more than a minute or two because this guy talking is like nails on a chalk board. I almost hate him as much as I did that TJ Hunt idiot.

at work, we almost exclusively use the lutron line of dimmers. mostly the C-L line(decora, or toggle). not really for any specific reason that i know of, but as long as some jackwad doesn't short out the terminals, i think i've only ever had 1-3 bad out of the box for probably somewhere close to 1k installed. i've done less than 20 casseta and maestro switch/dimmers-- usually for customers that need a remote(casseta)--either an easy install where no switch exists, or a tabletop nitestand controller. or the capability to dim a light from multiple locations(maestro). never really had a problem with either, but they cost more, so they only ever come up in specific usage cases. i've done a couple legrand dimmers as well. they're just not as common of a stock item in my area, so i just don't see many. they've never stood out for any reason other than they have some funky color offerings. i didn't even know feit had a line of dimmers. they even hide them on their site-- shows you how proud of them they are. i like feit bulbs simply for the fact that they're one of the few companies that sell 150w equivelents...

The new one just turns to turn on/off and dim. After I installed it I showed the 3 ager that she didn't have to jump up and slam the hell out of the new one - just gently turn the knob. So, I put her in charge of explaining how it was to be used to her sisters and ma-ma. She came up to me last week and said that her sisters caught on but ma-ma is still trying to "punch" it - |

On this Memorial Day, I salute those men and women that gave all.
A special salute to my friends and fellow soldiers that knew, that did not come back from Vietnam. |
