It is absolutely the case that if you buy the right high end shocks and struts, handling improves a lot and so does ride comfort. I did it on my Mini cooper S. Handling went way up and it is not jarring on the roads of NY City. My wheels also are 9 lbs. lighter and the tires are a lot lighter (never measured exactly). Lowering is something i have no idea about.

strut tower braces improving ride. Hm. The new 2017 has reinforced strut towers individually and ride improved from it. It could be the towers connected transmit some of the vibrations across the car? Would be a bit small of a function.

2013 FRS is my only vehicle. Just completed my first road trip in it, went from Sacramento to LA then back. It was a friend and I, we were able to comfortably fit everything we needed in the car and get 30-32 mpg the whole way, cruising at about 75 most of the time. It's not as comfortable for long trips as a family car of any kind, but it was great for the 8 hour drive and made the trip more enjoyable just for the simple fact that it was fun to drive it through California. My only complaint is how loud it is cruising above 65-70mph, but that has to do with an aftermarket exhaust.

Outside of that I drive to and from work every day in it, about 5 miles each way, usually heavy traffic. The clutch isn't too heavy so no complaints there. you get a lot of looks from other commuters which is always neat. I can easily fit my groceries in the trunk (Single person). I have had people in the backseat, they can fit but I hear it is not comfortable at all even from my friend who is 5 foot nothing and 110lbs.

If you're without children or the need to haul a lot of stuff on a regular basis, it's as good as any other to be used as your only car.

Every time I wash mine, i fall in love with it over and over again. It's as if it were the first time I drove it. Any time I spend more than 5 continuous minutes driving it, I feel like a kid in a go-kart.

I still get "wows!" and "cute!" shouted at me from fans.

I have 2 trucks besides my FRS, but I drive my FRS 9/10 times more often.

Love my FRS! This car knows how to make me smile, its perfect for mostly everything, I think the stock set up its great, drives great, sounds great, my only complaint (sorta) is the wheel/ tire size which I've upgraded to 17x9 with 245's. I'm a single dad with one kid so the space is enough, the back seats are still brand new, I don't see how anyone could seat back there. I plan to keep this car for a very long time, I even told my 10yr old daughter this car is her inheritance lol.

I currently has 2017 camry and 2017 brz. I will get rid of 2017 camry next week and brz will be my only ride. My brz has enough space for single and ride quality is not bad compare to camry.

It is my only car however I do have access to other cars like my parents to use on occasion.
When boyfriend got rocket bunny installed we had to drive 3 hours north to the shop and no way the rocket bunny kit fit in the car haha, I drive his car and he followed in my moms mini van with the kit. We also use his moms CRV sometimes when going out long distances because mines super charged and gets horrible gas mileage, and his is widebody and can't go certain places like take it downtown etc don't leave it sketchy places. Both our frs have been hit, vandalized, robbed, multiple times :,( Orlando is brutal!

It's my only car, and I actually miss the hour-long commute I used to drive to/from work. I work from home now and I have to make up excuses during lunch to go out for a drive.

I spend 14 hours a week in my car. Even the long, straight, cruise controlled highway drives are just that little bit more enjoyable.
