Totaled or not? 2014 FR-S down at 1500 miles

soooo... i posted a thread on this already in the northwest forum but since ive never had to deal with anything like this before i started to get a little panicked that the insurance company might actually try and fix this thing.

driver side window airbag deployed
drivers side door wedged so tight i couldn't kick my way out of it...
obviously rear drivers side wheel crushed and ripped completely off the car.
passenger side wheels ground the curb for about 20 feet then hopped it
and on and on...

so help a brother out. am i totaled or screwed???

here's my previous post. Wednesday 2/5/2014

"""""""""""""""i was minding my own business stopped at a red light when some ass coming home from the seahawks parade madness, talking on his damn phone, hit me at about 80mph. he would have hit me square but i just happened to look up and see him coming... dumped the clutch slammed on the gas and hooked it to the right just enough to keep myself alive. even though i got partly out of the way he knocked my car about 35-40 feet and up onto the curb he hit me so hard it ripped the front wheels off his car.. like OFF! he was skidding around nose down with no breaks... his front wheels were seriously dragging out the side of the wheel wells and he skidded for about 300ft before coming to a stop...

i just got out of the ER. nothing was gushing blood but i figured it best to get checked out. sprained wrist, back pain, and im crazy sore. feels like i got hit by a truck... or a car going 80mph...

honestly i don't really care. im just glad nobody was seriously hurt. im pissed about my car but cars can be replaced... and somebody is lookin out for me for sure. if i hadn't looked up and seen him he would have hit me dead center. """"""""""""""

UPDATE: looks like im going in for spinal x-rays on monday... arrrrrrrg...

If insurance trys to go for repairs, ask them for diminished value payment, there's legal president. Press them on it or ask for total. If needed a lawyer can get you diminished value payment for certain

With the rear wheel and everything attached to it THAT far out of whack, there has got to be severe frame damage, which means totaled. Hope you grabbed anything of value off of it before it goes away, because it's toast. Might be good to turn into a racecar, because salvage title is immaterial.

Actually a pretty damn good idea. Kinda surprised that came from someone that lives in Tucson

That is a goner for sure. Grab your money, and buy 2015 FRS

As far as grabbing anything valuable in the car. Just so you know, once the car is determined Totaled, it is the Insurance company assest. You may want to talk to them about that, otherwise....you may have big trouble.

Remember the case of Walker ?

well, i got all my personal stuff out of it but anything i would want is bolted on... the wheels are trashed, the coilovers too. at least the rears, the exhaust was bent and possibly cracked. the only thing i could get would be the intake, and maybe the speaker system... grrrr and all that Dynamat... damn it pisses me off... the car was flawless... i just have to keep reminding myself that a couple inches over and i could have been dead... i can get another car... as long as this ones totaled
