The new GT4

There it is. 493 Hp with the Gt3 4.0 motor. 27 hp less then the same iteration in the Gt3. This thing will be a monster… and also unobtainable even if you got the cash to buy it.
Makes my old first Gen gt4 feel neutered. I’m currently in a 991.2 Gts tuned to over 500whp on pump gas which is fun but I’d kill to back to this Na goodness.

Lol I can't even afford the markup by itself, let alone the cost of the car

And the Porsche boomers will buy them, lock them in their garage, put 1,500 miles on them over 3 years, and then try and sell them for like $50,000+ in profit.

This is to be expected. MacPherson strut vs. double wishbone/multilink means the GT3 has better grip even if the track weren't slightly wider.

What I wonder is if a PDCC equipped Cayman with wider tires would be faster. If there's no roll to worry about, there's no camber increase to worry about.

At 3227 lb. and 493hp, it's a perfectly acceptable modern mid-engine Corvette (unlike the C8!).

I'd be WAY more impressed if Porsche would produce a legit lightweight sports car again. I'd rather have a smaller 2600-lb. Cayman with half the horsepower versus another oversized/overweight megaperforming ego-stroker like this. If I wanted to go superfast at the track, I'd get a formula car or sports racer and go faster, have more fun, for less $$$.

Is it the first time Porsche engineers admitting that they were not allowed to put in the past a serious engine to Cayman? They said this one to be the final goodbye "partying" project before moving to electrification.

Nice track focused tool with all the needed power for the ones looking good timings, but not suitable for street racing in anything less than perfect road pavement (i.e. too stiff). I still believe for the latter application the Alpine A110S with the all aluminum chassis is pretty much unbeatable.
