huh I know...wasn't what I was saying yo..people in this thread were talking about how the new gen has the same HP with either MT or AT and that the old AT was slower and so I was merely reiterating that the 5 HP difference from first gen was meaningless, the main difference/advantage was the gearing..

Depends who you ask. A grandma would say the Auto is quicker then the Manual. Her hips grinding while shifting gears won’t help.

the automatic is pretty bad.
After you've driven a DCT transmission it absolutely shits on every other automatic. thats the only type of automatic thats acceptable

Yes this particular auto slush box is 2000s tech. The only acceptable slush box is the Zf8.

that's because she's granny shifting, and not double clutching like she should've.

My Granny loved to shift. She had a Rambler Scrambler.

The second gen is probably the same. The auto will be faster when two novice driver's are racing. The auto will be faster around town with anyone who is driving reasonably; it is far easier to drive aggressively in an auto than in a manual without shifting ridiculous like you're this guy:

pretty bad is very unfair to say. the system will never auto upshift in manual mode which shits on so many "sporty" cars with autos as a bunch of will force the next gear on you. at wot and shifting at high rpms, the gear changes are still very reasonably quick and there ain't any weird low speed jerkiness..it is very smooth all the way through the rev range & gears.. dct would only add unnecessary weight to the twins that would only make a dct variant slower and it isn't like you're controlling a large amount of torque for shifting speeds to really matter..
